Many of you have probably seen the video above of the product NeverWet, a ridiculously cool spray-on coating that repels water. When I saw the video I was like I need to have it since it would be perfect to coat my sneakers with. I recently found out that Aramex have eased up on the no liquids shipping rule and decided to test them out by ordering a pack of NeverWet spray from eBay. Aramex didn’t reject the package and have shipped it to me Kuwait at a cost of KD8.75 (weight 2.26 lb). So if you were interested in the product you won’t have a problem getting one to Kuwait. SOLEdxb, the largest sneaker event in the Middle East is taking place after tomorrow in Dubai. If you’re attending the event pass by the Nike space since they contacted different sneaker collectors in the region and I have around 8 photos of my collection that will be on display at their exhibit (including the one above).
I’m not going to the event since I’m currently in Beirut but for more information on SOLEdxb check out their Facebook page [Here]
It’s taking place on April 27th in Dubai so hopefully I’ll be able to make it. [Link]
I haven’t purchased any new sneakers for nearly a year now. I didn’t know it was that long until I checked my previous posts and noticed the last time I ordered a pair were back in July. I now have three sneakers I’ve got my eyes on. I’ve already ordered the one above but still looking for a good deal on the ones below. As you can see, they’re a lot more toned down than my previous purchases. I’m also still on the look out for the Nike Air Force 1 X Clot but instead of the prices dropping they’ve now gone up to KD500 for a pair. Doesn’t look like I am ever going to own a pair of those…
What do you wear with this? [Link]
Update: I am NOT interested in these sneakers!
Update2: Thanks to a reader I now remember where I had seen these sneakers before… Sport Billy had them!
These Adidas are encrusted with Swarovski crystals and cost over KD1,000. Luckily for all of us, they’re all sold out which means the guys with the Swarovski covered cars cruising on the Gulf Road will have to find matching sneakers elsewhere. [Link]
I really like these Adidas Maharishi’s. I am not usually a fan of Adidas mid tops but these are very tastefully done by Maharishi. From Sneaker Freaker:
Using a bevy of chambray-style materials, each piece has been crafted to produce a WWII naval uniform feel, mixed in with adidas’ sportswear heritage.
Really cool looking Air Force 1’s with a really long name and sadly only one pair made. [Link]
Just ordered a pair of these sneakers. I first saw them in Amsterdam but they were out of stock from my size. Luckily I found two stores online that still had them. [Link]
