Writers strike (almost) over

Post by K.theKuwaiti

The writers strike is unofficially over, a few weeks before the Oscars.

Seeing how there is tons of news covering the issue, I am going to keep this simple and concise:

  1. Writers should start getting back to work by Monday.
  2. Most shows would begin writing scripts and reworking the storylines.
  3. It would take 6 – 8 weeks to get up and running.
  4. For those continuing the season: Expect 4 – 6 episodes left, airing in April (late) – May.
  5. Other networks may scrap the season and begin production for next season (Aug – Sep).

The writers strike has also affected Movies, as most scripts were placed on hold. Expect production to resume; with releases (Da Vinci code 2) showing up sometime in the Winter.

More information can be found [here].

Dirty Sexy Money

Post by Mark

Dirty Sexy Money

I just started watching this show and so far its pretty cool. Its starring Donald Sutherland, William Baldwin and most importantly Peter Krause who played Nate Fisher on my favorite TV show ever, Six Feet Under. In Dirty Sexy Money, Peter plays the role of a lawyer who when his father passes away is forced to take over his job taking care of one of New York City’s wealthiest families. There is more information on Wikipedia, its a good show.

Rules of Engagement

Post by Mark

rules of engagement

I’ve recently gotten addicted to the TV show Rules of Engagement. They are in their second season now but I never thought it would be interesting, for some reason I used to read the name and think it was a TV show related to lawyers and the military. Probably because I keep thinking about the movie of the same name. Luckily by accident I downloaded and episode and after watching the first one I was hooked. The show stars three great actors, Megyn Price who plays the wife on Grounded for Life, David Spade which everyone knows from Just Shoot Me and finally my favorite actor from the bunch, Patrick Warburton who played David Puddy, Elaine’s boy friend on Seinfeld, Johnny Johnson on News Radio, The Tick on The Tick and the voice of Joe Swanson on Family Guy. A truly amazing actor and super funny in his own simple way. For more information you can check out the IMDB page. [Link]
