There are none! You would think by now they’re readily available at the Apple stores but they aren’t. I pass by daily and they’re always sold out. They have an option to reserve an iPad which I did yesterday but they estimate I can pass by and pick it up in 7 to 10 days! Hopefully that’s just a conservative estimate.

If your still in the city, you could take a train to the island and go to any mall and they would have it, im pretty sure roosevelt field mall in garden city still has a large stock. its a bit much but if you really wanted it you could do that, might as make a trip to the beach or something.

i went to best buy , they told me that they get there shipment every Friday , so i bought one from there , and i reserved from apple store 2 ipads and got there email yesterday , I think if u want one u can go to best buy in Friday @ 11 AM , or wait 7 days for apple reservation list.
I reserved mine got an email within 3days to pick my 3G from Santa Monica 3rd street store, I doubt it’s gonna take 7 to 10 days
Anyhow it’s not worth it ;p
The shortage is not limited to NYC. I’ve checked with both Apple Stores and Best Buys in my state and they are sold out.

I will order mine online (7 to 10 business days) and save the trip.
I was there last week, reserved and got it in 3 days time in NYC 5th Avenue Stores. Even in Chicago it was not available.
Btw there are plenty of stock in the Mac store in Avenues.

I went to New Orleans, Las Vegas, and Charlotte and all the stores there were sold out, I decided to order using an apple store bought gift card and the website estimate the shipping to be June 11th.

Im a reader from california, and Just to let you know I’m typing from my new iPad that I just bought. It took me ages to find it. I advise you to get it from best buy, that’s what I did.. Way easier and faster but I recommend u call them before heading over to them

Oh hey they sell iPads in all the Best Buys.. they are the only other official dealers!
There are no iPads at best buy, all sold out. Problem with NY is the tourist, there are too many here and wipe out the stores!
Just got a mail from DHL…I Pads are exempt from Customs Duty in Kuwait!!!
