This has to be the most embarrassing thing to hit Lebanon in a long time. It’s not as bad as Kuwait’s supercar the Scorpion but still… [Link]

an abomination! it has eyess :/

  2. Marzouq says:

lol, at least he is trying!

  3. jessyz says:

I don’t get it, is it supposed to be “cool” or is it just a creativity thing?

  4. klash47 says:

-_- This so called “car” has a nose.

  5. gilly says:

    How embarassing…
But still, for someone in Lebanon, this is a pretty tough thing to pull off…
Meet the Wright Flyer of Lebanese supercars…

  6. Mark says:

lol nat told me exact same thing

  7. moose says:

looks sort of cool to me

  8. Teeman says:

it has a nose XD lmao …well trust me sheep this is no abomination the abomination is kuwaits scorpion…it gives me knightmares i mean 10 exhaust pipes seriously wth ?? this supercar is just beauty overdone xP

  9. J says:

atleast he’s trying, it doesnt look half bad at all to be honest, just needs to work on the interior and just modify some of the exterior to make it compatible with the euro safety laws.
    kudos to him.

  10. holla says:

He should try to make it look more like a Peugeot for obvious reasons.

Also HAHAHAHAHA at the MOOSTINGG AL 3GRAAB !! the stupid 3arabi music in the bg just makes it perfect!

  11. ISF-Man says:

Oh My God… This is absolutely Perfect! THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CAR I HAVE EVER SEEEEEN!!! Gorgeous! ABSOLUTE GENIUS!!

  12. moe80s says:

what’s embarrassing about that?!!! i meanthe guy worked his ass off for something i think it will be a hit once he launches the real one on january.. Frem is a guy with a vision which is something to be proud of, arabian car that’s something : P

  13. Hellraiser says:

This is way too cool, I think he deserves 10/10 for effort alone. There is nothing embarassing about it Mark, at least he build something from scratch, and i admire his guts. Its much easier to sit and criticise, if any of you can do better why don’t you lead.

  14. HeartBeat says:

That’s our usual Arabic mentality .. We make fun of everything and we never appreciate ourselves or others!

I actually like the car and the guy is a genius!

With the given resources and budget that is definitely genius! The young man did not spend millions on this and he spent his last 3 years trying to achieve something and he did.

So just imagine he got all the resources and budget!!!

I bet he will get plenty of offers from big designers who can see in him what you don’t.

  15. fadibou says:

nice car, you can criticize him for almost everything (design, color, interior, performance etc.) but he did something which is worth developing on.

  16. Mark says:

Hellraiser that way of thinking is so lame. Just because I can’t build a car doesn’t make the guys car any good. Anyway I think you need to get a sense of humor.

  17. RainQ8 says:

Looks like an Enzo nose job gone wrong! Not sure if Batman would choose this monster for his ride?

124mph from a 2.0 Litre? Not much design put into the car if thats the most pull you can get out of the two litre.

Boyz who like cars either choose to drive a looker or a car that has real performance. This one would make you feel and drive like a c**k I think.

    Nice tyres though.

  18. ISF-Man says:

Yeah I don’t think anyone caught on to my sarcasm :P

  19. ISF-Man says:

“currently powered by a Volkswagen-sourced 2.0-liter four-pot and mated to an Audi gearbox (DSG?), good for a claimed top speed of 124 mph”

I really hope he’s not serious..

  20. Mark says:

yeah even my wrangler is faster than that

  21. Hellraiser says:

Mark, I did not ask you to build a car, I was aiming at the overall negative attitude of some of the responses. As I said such an effort should be commended rather than negatively bashed. if the readers put things into perspective. He is 25, he worked his ass out for 3 years, remember that he has no wind tunnel or state of the art tools or facilities, furthemore he is going to Detroit, he still deserves 10/10 for effort and creativity and can do attitude last I checked these are the requirements to hire into corporate, unless things have changed. Sorry but i don’t see the humor in the post.

  22. HeartBeat says:

Guys you got it all wrong!!! The issue is about Design and not engine and power!! Engine is temporary just to make the car move!

it is a prototype car in e design competition.

  23. RainQ8 says:

Unfortunately the world today revolves around IMAGE. Wind tunnel or no wind tunnel, e-Design or not… its just plain UGLY! Thats what makes it FUNNY!

It looks bad and the rest of the spec just drags it down. If he could explain the front nose job thing, some of us might understand. Maybe he’s trying to conceptualise the aero dynamics of ?

  24. Mark says:

    Here are some more pictures

There are a ton of other people in lebanon who build cars I don’t know why they haven’t gotten the spotlight. There is this one guy who had combined a Mercedes and BMW into one, the front was a BMW the back was a Mercedes.

  25. Hellraiser says:

After three years of design and fabrication, Frem has created the F1 prototype as a steppingstone to the production version, aptly titled the F2, which is slated to appear at the Detroit Auto Show this January.

Dude I don’t wanna beat a dead horse here, the car is not a mere combination of body parts, it is a car from the frame to the styling thats whats making it unique, there are plenty of kit cars out there you can buy for 5,000$ and smack it on a frame. And as mentioned in Autoblog it is a Prototype, which in lame man term it does not necessarely need to have V10 engine, nor does it reflect the final product. True there is a long way to the final product, however this is a step in the right direction for a country with Zero Natural resources. Furthermore it is an excellent self marketing tool that might get some investors to back this commited individual in moving towards brighter and bigger projects.

  26. Mark says:

Hellraiser I dont think you are being fair here.

Just because this is a concept/protype doesn’t make it ok to look ugly, or ok to be underpowered. To me a concept car is supposed to be a showcase for something usually a new design style, technology, safety feature or whatever. What is new in Frems car? What is he showcasing? The car is ugly we all agree, the car is underpowered we all agree, whats left?

The only reason he is in the media or going to detroit is because he is from Lebanon.. to the west thats exotic but if he was based in London for example would he have made it to Detroit? would he have gotten any attention? I think its good for the guy and because of this publicity he probably will have a bright future but thats not whats being discussed here.

The car, as a concept car just has nothing going for it.

  27. HeartBeat says:

Now I got it .. the car front genital (aka nose) is there for a reason!

  28. Mathai says:

thats got to be the ugliest car I’ve ever seen, and potentially dangerous for pedestrians… But it would work if i wanted to play Carmageddon in real life ! :D

  29. tamer says:

this car is amazing and everyone should be proud that a lebanese student pouled it out
bravo bravo bravo keep it up ou i wish u we all wish u succes
    gd luck

  30. tamer says:

thow i just dont get u people how could this car be ugly are u blind or what
if u are to be jelous that a young man in his 20s pouled this car off then dont take it out on him its a nice car a very nice one in deed
and damn it be proud ano how old is this guy he just graduated from uni
give him a chance he might be worth it
i wish u great luck mate ur car is one of a kind
keep it up ou nshalla btenjah bel hayet
    bravo

  31. bored says:

2 bad never seen it around

  32. Elias says:

Amazing Idea… Enzo Ferrari manno a7san when he first started…

    good job dude,

I just need to know the specs and the handling of the car. Engine power? gears? etc… ?!

    Thanks
