Let’s help this girl with the funny red hat become a star
In Lebanon there currently is a campaign for Crest toothpaste where they’ve setup a website in which girls could upload their pictures smiling and the girl that gets the most votes wins and ends up on the cover of a magazine called Femme. I was checking the most popular list and notice the girl currently in first place has just 2,700 votes and realized we can have some fun with this. Basically 2,700 votes is nothing, I think with your help we could make any girl win this competition easily. So after a friend of mine spent some time flipping through the contestants we found the girl above with the red hat and we’re going to help her win.

Isn’t this very unethical, because:
1) It lowers other people’s chance of winning. Perhaps, they had a better smile and really wanted to win, but lost because of this.
2) It gives this girl a sense of falsity if she finds out how she won. She would be saddened to hear that this is how she won the competition.
In this case, the competition is not a big deal, but if you must vote, be honest in your vote.
You’re thinking too much about this. If Rick Astley can win MTV’s best act and kick U2, Britney Spears and Madonnas ass then this girl can win best smile :)

People are missing the point of all this. Wherever you drive in Lebanon, you see these annoying billboards announcing this silly competition, some girls take it way too seriously, and bombard people with SMS’s, messages and emails.
So they’re taking this too seriously, and we want to have fun and help someone who has a low chance of winning.
Also, its amusing. So get a sense of humor and vote.

to all the people who are taking this too seriously, it’s just a stupid competition from a toothpaste company.
One cannot take this TOO seriously! Any “vote” that lets anyone vote 1 time per day is just for fun! What if one of the other girls has a really big family and they all vote for her every day, and another girl has a very small family without computers? It is just a popularity contest, and Mark is doing this just for fun!
