Can you guess what this is?

If you guessed telecom antenna you guessed right. Never seen one shaped like a water tank before.

Thanks Saud

I’ve seen many.. they started surfacing couple months ago. There is one next to electrical control building in south surra, al shuhada.. on the fifth ring road.

I’ve seen many others, i don’t remember where exactly, but I see that one on 5th ring road everyday.

Shaped like a water tank to disguise them. They are illegally erected and if the ministry knows about them, they’ll get taken down.

Telecom companies find it cheaper to pay homeowners (say KD1000/yr) or even just “7aris il 3amara” (usually a KD50 once off fee) to put them up on roofs, than legally pay the government fee.

I’d never let them install it ontop of my house & if i was living in an apartment complex and saw one on the roof, I’d do a 9/11 on it!! LOL
    Walla 7araamiya!

  19. Abdullah says:

From an engineering point of view he’s so smart.
Pressure in the main water pipes is so low, houses usually need a pumb to take water up to the tanks & another 1 up on the roof for a strong flow of water in each outlet point.
    He only needs 1.
As an architect, i’d kill him!!!!

the telecom antenna are illegal in residential areas, thats why they make them in water tanks shape. there are many other shapes

  21. Hammad says:

people still dont understand that if they need good coverage, these things have to be installed in area where they live and not 100 miles away…

Secondly its not bad for health and amount the pay to owner is far more then what people think…50 KD Duh…

If it was illegal and hazardous to health..i am sure many people would have died in my country…

I believe telecom companies are wasting money on keeping bloggers happy by giving them free things….they should educate people through there posts and not misguide…

Did some one ever thought why such camoflauge is done in Salwa Area ?? and not all over kuwait ….
