Just a fact

It takes 8.5 minutes for the light from the sun to reach the earth. I just found that out, I was expecting it to take much longer. [Source]

Oh and I am currently watching a movie called Sunshine.

  7. rv says:

light travels at 1,079,252,849km/h or 300,000,000m/s.

on a similar note, everthing that freefalls accelerates towards the ground at 9.8m/s
Thats why it takes the same time for two objects to hit the ground when dropped.

    thanks for the info einsteins..

    that movie sux… =(

  9. sabah says:

rv: That would be 9.8 m/s^2. Additionally, all things should ‘ideally’ hit the ground at the same time if dropped form the same height (e.g. in a vacuum) but they don’t because of air resistance, etc.
