I was expecting to be wayyyy more expensive but they really aren’t. Compared to what some celebrities in Hollywood pay for their homes and apartments, these castles look like a steal.. [Link]

In the book non-fiction, by Chuck Pallanick, you have a chapter on the people in the US and their fascination with building castles, it does not cost much once you know how to do it right.

yeah there are some cheapo ones like this one for 850,000 or something. but that 26 mil one is like full equiped on the inside with high tech shit and secret passages and shit. it’s like a D&D nerd’s wet dream ;)

You can buy castles, mansions, chateus and every other huge ass home you can think of for what seems to be strikingly low prices, but there’s a catch, like NeO said you’re probably going to be tied to some contract that states you have to pay for maintainence and the whole lot.
