Get over it and move ahead, a little change can do you no harm. JOIN the rest of the GCC in prosperity and future development! @ aaa. The invasion happened 20 years ago. By now Kuwait should’ve improved most,if not all, of its infrastructure and services. Look at Dubai 20 years ago and look at it now.
Yeah but “relationship with neighbors” is an actual measure, not counting impacts to infrastructure etc. I meant their actual algorithm probably takes down points for having recent wars.

Rankings aside, people who know Kuwait (Kuwaitis and non) know that it’s the best place in the world!

Some of these countries also happen to have the highest suicide rate.

You have around 120 nationalities in Kuwait. What does that tell you? It’s not perfect. Far from being one, but I wouldn’t wanna live anywhere else

Kuwait has its quirks, but of the GCC states I’ve lived in . it would be the first choice to return to, might sound bizarre, but Kuwait was a place I rated far higher than Bahrain , Doha or [bleugh!] Abu Dhabi.

Kuwait’s rank is deserved. considering who the population of Kuwait is – im sure a fair amount of people will agree that Kuwait can’t rank any higher.
I like how all the loyalist comments have absolutely no FACT behind the statement. we all ‘know’ kuwait is the best place in the world. Besides they all commit suicide elsewhere.
why stop there clearly its the best place in the universe. in fact when ppl die in this life we are all transported to a magical place in the sky called Kuwait. In fact maybe all those fictional ppl in other countries are committing suicide because they want so badly to LIVE in kuwait but can’t.

the loyalist arguments weren’t meant to be argumentative just comments professing our love for our real or adopted country.
If you feel the need to be argumentative about someone professing their positive opinions for the place they live or once lived in then why are you reading a blog about that place?
Lets hope the new Airport will kick it up a notch.
Don’t forget Quality of Living refers to everyone in Kuwait. 2/3 of Kuwait is expats and a lot of them work on less than 200KD a month, in dirty cramped apartments or camps shared with others. To these people, the rising food prices really hit them hard, visas and residencies are a horrible horrible mess to get done, crime in their areas is higher than the rest of Kuwait, 200KD rent is unaffordable compared to their salary, it’s hot, and there’s no traffic.
As a Kuwaiti Kuwait is honestly the best country to live in because you get so much, even if we’re not perfect. As an expat laborer it’s basically hell.
YES VANCOUVER! ripping it up as always but tied with Dusseldorf? ive lived in both spots and Vancouver is the perfect integration between a big city and nature. The air there is even tasty!
However with that sid i am in Kuwait and i love this place. Now if they did a survey on where is the best place to raise a family i think the tables would turn in Kuwaits favor.
Schools are expensive, kids are spoilt brats but raising your kids here still avoids the drug epidemic that has swamped Vancouvers communities, especially the Eastside.
Until the kid is 18 years old Kuwait for me is the spot. Once he turns 18 its kick his / her ass outta Kuwait for some independence. I would never send my kids to any of these AUK, ACK or any of these mickey mouse universities as i feel these institutions are contributing to the new generation of the “ana Kuwaiti” attitude which seems to be getting stronger.
At least when they went overseas they learned new ideas, principles, human rights, not to litter. Just to be a respectful human being who cleans his own house and laundry. Kinda jumped off topic but had to be said.

The “ana Kuwaiti” attitude is getting stronger because the new generation was born after the war. Almost everyone currently in university is post-war, whether consciously or not people who lived through the war were raised differently.
I have my own list, and after 6 years living in all australian cities, Kuwait is right on the top of my list :) love u q8, and proud to be a q8i!
