Cops get Mustangs

Mustang Kuwait

They’re going to need something a lot faster than a Mustang if they expect to catch up with some of the cars in Kuwait.

Thanks Ali

I’ve heard, they’re whipple superchargeed AT mustangs putting down +600hp on the wheels!! ( I doubt Auto-Trans. will handle )
I saw few pics of them on the net.. ill try n find them for you guys

  4. Malhas says:

    there they are http://www.q8speed.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=10709
but Dyno #s were provided by a friend

  5. Rayboy says:

i thought they were up for the dodge charger?

  6. Malhas says:

i’ve been told, inna dodge Chargers got cancelled because they had heat problems ( that’s what u expect from a V8 hemi engine anyway :P) and the gave them to bahrain

Same follows With Audi A6′z .. they said they had some problems and cancelled the deal! they had tester versions but it seems like it didnt work out with them for some reason :\

  7. AMQ says:

i think they were tuned. . . supercharged
i saw interior shots and they had a sticker from a supercharger company

  8. BoBader says:

MOI prohibit the police from pursuit traffic violations unless if it is related to drugs or murder. Basically, this car is useless and just for showing off.

  9. Nand says:

Basically one of the steps taken to bail out the ailing Auto Industry in the US

  10. Madwolf says:

toni if you dont like kuwait leave it :)

  11. Khaled says:

well trust me.. we wont miss you :) we’re glad you’re leaving buddy

I lived in another place for nearly 10 years that had plenty of flaws too. The attitude of the locals was just the same – leave if you don’t like it. Wonderful way of ignoring the views of other people and refusing to consider change. I also had a similar conversation with a Kuwaiti friend. I left him to think about the following scenario – let’s say one day all expats (and I mean every single one) leaves Kuwait. The place would collapse as who would do all of the work? Good luck Toni. I recognise Kuwait’s flaws but choose to stick it out. To paraphrase Animal Farm, all places are flawed but some are more flawed than others.

    toni…
As a Kuwaiti, I totally respect your opinion. At the same time I cringe when kuwaitis ask people to leave as they hear any critique of te affairs in Kuwait.
To all you abnoxious people out there, I’m a Kuwaiti, and I hate how things are in Kuwait, however, I will not satisfy you by running away from my dear country, and leave my country in the hands of you backward people. No! I will stay and voice my opinion!!

Toni, as far as I’m concerned you can stay and complain at you like. Our constitution guarantees freedom of expression not just to kuwaitis, but to all that happen to be here. Eat your heart out abnoxious people!! :)

    Whats next? Corvette or Ferrari?

i moved in here from dubai.. am an indian.. this place has a soul that dubai never had nor will ever get…

One thing I miss here is a decent FM station (English and if not asking too much, perhaps a Hindi one too !!) And some nice open spaces to hang out with the family on weekends.. and maybe a few social clubs too!

  16. Tweez says:

    purplearm,
    check out 99.7 or 92.5 or 96.9…
Yeah, I guess we need a Hindi station.

It seems that the place that fits your need is not available yet. Maybe you should put yourself out of misery and save humanity the whining. I known many of your type who seems to have no purpose in life and keep blaming others for that. Neither Kuwait nor the US are perfect.

I think that your other problem is that you’ve spent a lot of time around who you called “class A” people. In Kuwait, many of them are really messed up and need to see therapists.

  18. BoBader says:

Amazing!! Ultra liberal and thinks of people in term of classes.. Wow

  19. Malhas says:

all that aside! keepin it in the OP boarders..
    * Those Mustangs are targeted to work on public illegal street-racing places. such as sabhan, Alzour, Naba6 … etc! because usualy what happens is that when cops show up, lots of guys manage to escape because they over-power police patrols.. so basically this is the MOI’s answer to them

    * i think they released this as a show-off to compete with Abu-Dhabi’s Corvette that is used for road accidents when they catch on fire,, corvette is supposed to put off fire with what it’s equipped with.. < this news appeard in the newspapers few months ago

    Toni,

Just like you, I am also leaving the country soon because I decide that it’s not conducive to my aspirations. However, in all objectiveness, Kuwait is a decent place to live. I will miss the warm winter terribly, the kind old men who always let me go first at Q-line (thank you old men! Random act of kindness is really touching), the people who are eager to help if you ask for one. This country is not perfect but I don’t despise it either and trust me, I have many reasons to be bitter actually. Just like you, I also think that the US is a very conservative place. But as a liberal, I pride myself in my ability to be objective. And yes, I don’t think putting people in class A or F is very liberal either.

  21. Adrenaline says:

This will only create more accidents, as a lot of the guys will try to get in high speed chase to test the their cars against the Mustangs.

Lets wait and see how will they chase the motorcycles.

  22. Nand says:

OMG!!! We need to bear toni for another three days..Why does he bugger of tonight itself considering Fri & Sat are closed out here.

  23. Nand says:

OMG!!! We need to bear toni for another three days..Why does,nt he bugger of tonight itself considering Fri & Sat are closed out here.

  24. PUX says:

Ok lets say he chased someone and then he want to take him to the police station …. where will the bad guy sit !?

  25. Dave says:

Nand, I wouldn’t have bothered – your posting wasn’t worth correcting in the first place. As with all countries, Kuwait has plenty of flaws. Are people not allowed to express their opinions about it? All this ‘well then, you should bugger off’ type cobblers puts you, not Toni, in a poor light. It’s just childish. Some people like Kuwait, some people put up with it, some people hate it. What’s so strange about that?

  26. holla says:

mustangs are so lame. the chargers were at least cooler looking. Hennessy tuned SRT 600 turbocharged chargers would have been optimal.

  27. suspic says:

Cops can’t catch a damn Colt in a drag race, they don’t bother and you want them to chase real cars. =O

Imagine the dumb cop driving a racer off the road at 200kmph. That’d be amusing.

  28. bOs3ayD says:

I think it’s cool, now I wanna work as a cop in patrol for a few days just to try out their Mustangs and compare them, by drag racing my friends’ fast cars. I think their colours are so easily recognizable that when I’m driving and I see one I instantly take my foot off the pedal and decrease the speed :p

    I love Mustangs.

  29. M says:

    Hahaha.
Seriously i know what the problem is. Arabs are proud ppl. As an arab, i definatly know that. Arabs generally abuse their own countries, but when someone comes in and says the exact same comments about their country, they’ll get offended or will respond with a ‘yeah but its still better then blah blah. or ‘if you dont like it leave it’.
Whats the point though? So what if someone doesnt like your country?
Everyone has the right to like certain things and hate certain things. Some ppl are forced to put up with certain things even though they dont like it. Life isnt fair. Get over it.

  30. Duke. says:

Those aren’t just any mustangs. It is easy to make a normal mustang much faster by loading it properly. I’m guessing those mustangs are fully loaded.

  31. BoOmBaStiC says:

    NeeD FoR SPeeD…!! o____O

  32. mayhem says:

talkin about where to put the bad guys???? prolly in the TRUNK.LOL…

  33. Ali says:

    you welcome :)

  34. M3T4L says:

Traffic police is different than normal police, they won’t chase for drugs or murder, so no bad-guys place is actually required, it’s only a show-off.

  35. jaz says:

These Mustangs are equipped with Whipple superchargers. They have automatic transmissions and put down 400rwhp, this brings them around the territory of a stock Corvette C6, BMW M5/M6, Ferrari F430, etc… more than enough power…

  36. Mr.pedro says:

Umm now the pick ups are around 550 to 600HP i dont think this mustang have any chance

  37. Thomas says:

Nice ride…However, I’d like to sing the same song that “Rand”

  38. Thomas says:

Nice ride…However, I’d like to sing the same song that “Nand” was singing….. Bailing out the auto industry……plausible!.

  39. five O says:

These supercharged mustangs were seen cruising on king fahad highway in Eid with their lights on doing 80km on the right lane. I bet they were happy just cruising with 600+ under the hood.
But i guess they got a good deal from Al-Wazzan’s dealership, who cares anyway, in the end its a FORD
Fix Or Repair Daily and Found On the Road Dead
tuning a supercharger, hmm.. ill give it 2 years before they trade them for something else.
As for the chargers, 120 charger police interceptors have been ordered, all plain white and will be seen soon with the kuwaiti police cirus colors soon inshalla. They are modified and have full bolt on’s. dynoed to reach approx. 350 rwhp and approx. 400 max. torque.
hemi’s dont overheat, they just have a normal temp. of 115 degrees celcius.
