Dj Uruj leaving the Night Ride

I just found out that Dj Uruj will be leaving her show the Night Ride. At first I thought management had fired her but it seems it was on her own accord. Maybe she couldn’t handle all the negativity? Whatever her reason is, I guess this is good news for all the listeners.

good news would: everyone at RK FM got fired.

seriously, what the hell is wrong with that station? I tune to RK FM.. and its always the same style of songs playing on and on and on. I tune to VOA.. and there are plenty of different tastes.

if those ppl running the station are so horrible and have no taste, why dont they check international charts and play to us whats on those lists? not necessarily american hits. there are some euro hits that are very cool and we want to listen to them.

Since 92.5 switched to 99.7 (I’m talking back in the day) and I’ve stopped listening. I mean com’n. Rap, hiphop and pop aren’t the only available music on the radio. I kinda of liked the dance/trance they had but they should have tried house, jungle, euro-pop. I wish they bring back 92.5 the classic rock/adult hits type. I usually listen to either VOA or Sawa but still, hate their followship to black music or just ugly new alternative.

I hoenestly don’t care what music they play, if they’d only get rid of the dj’s talking so much and all the middle school dedications that take foreeeeverrrrr.

    Fired?

Whoop whoop! Party at my place!

Like pinkmoon said, 99.7 should really stop those ridiculous dedications. Who the hell wants to listen to some 5th grader dedicate ‘Barbie Girl’ to his entire class (and list all his classmates, one by friggin one)? Or some filipino woman dedicate a song (and individually list) every person she met at church last Sunday? It must be some intricate plot to spread Christianity because everytime I hear that crap I can’t help but exclaim: “Jesus ”F***ing Christ!”

    Seriously.

If the government wants to eliminate Valentine’s Day because it is not Islamic, then they need to set fire to the 99.7 studio because everything that comes from there borders on satanic.

    Mark,

How much does the govt pay the Dj’s?
How can I send my sample tape in?

The problem is not with the Dj, but with the people who think that Back Street Boys are musicians and deserve to be played on the Radio.

At least the rock show on Sunday night plays some heavy shit, and the Easy FM plays some great jazz/fusion tunes, if you know what you’re listing to.

  11. Zack says:

The only possible excuse for the sad selection of tunes on radio stations here is that they are government-owned/run or so heavily censored that that is the only music they are allowed to play…I mean that must be the case….
Am I mistaken? Please somebody correct me if I am wrong….

i read on facebook that uruj quit her dj job because she wanted to she is going to take a long holiday and then return yand be part of the newsteam and can they stop with the dedications who gives to shits if some girl wants to dedicate a stupid song to her bus??? and im sick of latina mina only playing spanish songs when shes there lindas ok but i would like to see more variety coming from the station,,,

  13. TripleM says:

I’m sorry to bother, but can you just remind me of the name of the DJ used to play at 99.7 in late 1999-2002

  14. Karam says:

  17. Mark says:

    what is a gay para?

  18. Damon Dash says:

    yeah what is gay para?

anyways glad she’s gone, next Marina FM annoying DJs

  19. Adam says:

    paragraph maybe ?

i dunno, i havent been in kuwait for a while, so i cant really put that much feedback into this post, ive never been that big of a fan of rkfm, however i know that prodcuer/owner of that station is really nice and its not their fault really, music selection is beyond their hands.
Do you know that their are people that goto rkfm office to complain about some of the songs that they dont like that are being played?
If it all upsets you, then perhaps a big letter or petition should be put together, or you all individually go and put ur complaints in voice.

wow and I thought Dj Uruj was negative…
