Earthquake?
Did anyone feel an earthquake around 2:25PM?
Update: Looks like an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 hit near a city called Kazerun in Southern Iran. More information [Here]

It nearly impossible to have one in Kuwait ???
It seems that have only hit the Salmiya region… our office, AUK, and home felt it.
Indeed, it lasted over 20 seconds.

I did!! I thought I was feeling dizzy or something.
I was sitting on a chair playing my guitar when I felt it. I thought it was an earthquake and called my mom, but she didn’t believe me. Not until my neighbour verified it. Lasted around 25 seconds.
@ Rita: I felt in Kuwait City, and a friend of mine felt it in Mangaf, so its definitely not only Salmiya.

salmiya and salwa and it was for about 20 seconds.
and it was moving like circles swinging
my frend did felt it…her office is located in kuwait city…
good God no, didnt feel it.
@Ramez, how come I didn’t feel it in Mishref while I was outside, it is so close to salwa!

@AbdulAziz- I remember we have had a few tremors in the past few years in Kuwait and re it being impossible here, I also remember reading a seismic report/article a while back that wondered if all the drilling here was not dangerous so near to the Iranian fault line.
Nothing habibi is impossible!

@Rita I was home when the quake struck and I reside in Mahboula. So I think the quake was well spread out.
@Sallom You cant actually feel an earthquake when you are outside if it is a very small one especially if you are already moving. Like if you were in a car or walking<<– but that's as far as I know.

what’s scary is the earthquake’s proximity to Bushehr (nuclear plant); and after reading about the Stuxnet virus going through Iran’s computers it seems like a recipe for disaster.
According to this guy, all those sluts in Iran are to blame for this. :D

No I didnt feel it. It has happened quite a few times in past and I never seem to feel it. Damn IT! :D

I was in the office in Kuwait city when I felt it… I thought that I was dizzy from work!!! My desk was slightly moving. A colege then verified that it was an earthquake…!!
Totally felt it! The table, PC screen, and plant next to me started shaking!
yes..im sitting inside my office then suddenly i noticed my chair was shaking. weird! i thought i was just dizzy or something..

I did not feel it, but my colleague felt. 5.7 is not a great quake to reach kuwait from Iran crossing the waters… anyways… its bit scary… if they get hit at a higher level, it might be a bigger problem for the refineries here..

I was sitting on my bed.. felt it… when downstairs… and asked my sons if they felt it… THEY THOUGHT I WAS CRAZY… MY WHOLE BED SHOOK.. THE CHANDELIERS WHICH ARE QUITE HEAVY WERE BOTH SWAYING A BIT.. MY BED MOVED ABOUT HALF AND inch to and fro which is alot ..
Having lived in California I know what a quake is as I have experienced a few large ones… and I have experienced a 4.0 here in Kuwait before…

I felt it in Kuwait City, but my husband in Salmiya didn’t! Was on the phone immediately, asking all and sundry :P

today we were in class and the projector started shaking , the prof * as a joke * said , we are having a third level earthquake . he is Japanese , they sense these things -.-
i felt it too.. but my boss said its probably sum heavy duty machines being used at ground level.

felt it at my home in salmiya ..isnt der anyother channel besides kuwait t.v whch give live breaking news in kuwait .when i felt the shocks i immediately switched on da t.v n i was wondering which channel to check for da news.

Some country might’ve used THE “Natural Disasters Weapon” on Iran .. Many ppl around the world are questioning whether such weapon exists or not .. But after the earthquakes in haiti, iran, and other natural disasters around the world in such short time ..
