Gulf Road Blues

What more can I do? I’ve already complained about the issues that take place on the Gulf Road a million times already on the blog and I haven’t seen any improvement. If anything there are less cops on the Gulf Road now then there have ever been.

Note: Yes I took this picture on the Gulf Road

  2. daily says:

probably drive there once a month maximum……

    • Mark says:

i take it 3 to 4 times a day sadly.

    • Duke says:

I Drive ther 3 times in a year … Worst traffic ever. I don’t mind traffic but in kuwait its so frustrating.

      • Mark says:

I wouldn’t call this traffic really since it lasts for only a few minutes. You want traffic you got to come to Lebanon. We have only one highway linking all of Lebanon. Imagine Kuwait with just the 4th ring road and no 5th, 6, 3rd.. etc.. That’s traffic.

        • aaa says:

When I visited Beirut there was an accident on that one road and literally nobody could get anywhere. OOPS the one road is clogged sorry guys

          • Mark says:

yeah it’s horrible. even with the new completed roadworks the traffic is horrible. for example we’re the only country in the world with an on-ramp that exits from the middle of the highway!

  3. lulz says:

Why would you complain? Natural selection is perfectly legal.

  4. Akbar says:

If this is such a nuisance and big issue then either make the entire stretch pedestrian only or dig the roads up with speed breakers half feet deep every 100ft.

  5. ibnturab says:

Too bad we don’t have organ donation in this country.

  6. Keith says:

Organ donation and cadaver harvesting does happen in Kuwait. In fact after an accident victim dies, his kin is informed about the choice to donate organs. In fact Kuwait has one of the best Kidney transplant hospitals, with some very accomplished and experienced doctors.

Shame. They’re must be so frustrated for living in such a closed-minded society.

    • aaa says:

Yes clearly this is frustration at a closed minded society and not being idiots who want to look cool, something that happens in all societies closed and open

      See: Ghost Riding the Whip

  9. Mark, am a bit confused! So, you saw this on Gulfroad? and you snapped a pic?! is it a girl driving?

  10. Desert Girl says:

    My Kuwait Mantra:

    They just don’t care.
    They just don’t care.
    They just don’t care.

When you try to be someone who gives back to society, helping in someway, and you get frustrated by what you see here, repeat the mantra.

  11. Abdou says:

Just enjoy it like you are seeing a giraffe in a national park.

  12. Salman says:

  21. Faruk Durmaz says:

  22. Longhorn In Kuwait says:

The dumbass sitting on the car, his parents probably sent him off to an expensive university overseas( which during that time all he did was drink, go to strip clubs, do drugs, and gambled, and of course paid someone to take his exams for him).

  23. Slush says:

Dude if ur advocating against reckless people on the road then you shouldn’t be using your cell phone clicking snaps in the first place. that’s as bad as texting or talking…your attention is not on the road!

  24. spikz says:

Why would anyone be on the gulf road anyways. I’ve been here in Kuwait for like 3 years now and I did the mistake of taking the gulf road only once and never ever after that :-P
