Kim Kardashian coming in October

Back in January I posted that Kim Kardashian would be coming to Kuwait for the launch of Million of Milkshakes by the end of the year and last night she confirmed on twitter that she’s coming in October. I think that’s pretty cool since we don’t get that many celebrities in Kuwait.

I wouldn’t call her a celebrity….I’d rather see Shaq opening millions of milkshakes…

I am sure she will come and have a positive impact on creating a better life for everyone who lives here
and be able to tackle important issues like food control, environmental health, and integrate Kuwait into a modern thinking society that can lead the world with innovation, opportunity. Who knows maybe she can even convince some women to be independent and give them the ability to work hard so they can buy their own homes from their hard earned money.

People hate both of them because they got famous for no real reason. They didn’t get famous because they ran a successful business, are good actors, can sing well, can write or direct.
Like they’re entertainers who can’t entertain.
Of course they’re a successful business now but in Kim’s case it’s 99% her mom’s work.
Because she stands for everything that’s sick in the world!

Mark – for those of us who don’t like her the reasons are this: Self-made early porn star, self promoter, redundant, lack of any real voyeur entertainment value for those who just wanna watch crazy people, attention seeking hedonist whose only siginificant contribution to pop culture is her porn movie and silly reality shows. And a splashy divorce. Most of Kuwaities want to look and be exactly like her. She’s a terrible role model in an age where we desperately need positive, productive, honorable ones who aren’t this self -serving and greedy.
However, I must openly admit that I am jealous of only one thing: that is all the dough she’s rolling herself in based on all of the things I mentioned above. Sigh.

There are plenty of positive role models in this world. Lots of people spend their entire lives helping others, but we rarely hear about them because they are on the “boring” side of the media. People like Kardashian are what people love reading about, and businesses bring them in for promotion because they can generate a profit. A squeaky clean image is what people don’t enjoy, I’ve noticed.

And yes, sad she’s making that much money over being stupid and self obsessed. I blame people – if they didn’t watch her she wouldn’t have all that money. And we’d have far less stupidity in the world on her side and the people who like/support her.

You call her a role model in Kuwait? I would think the Arab world would have better role models than this and quit talking like she is Arab, she is an American of Armenian decent, if she was really interested in her culture, she would be going to Armenia.

Yes, when Mark last post this, commenters were stating that at least she looks Arab and not blonde like Paris Hilton so she was more relatable to the Arab world. Most of what you mentioned is correct. But her family has been living in the states for almost a century. She was born and raised as an American. She’s only Armenian by her name, she has said many times that she doesn’t know Armenian or much about Armenia. So I don’t blame her.

If she comes to Kuwait she will get what is coming. Kuwait is not like Dubai and trust me everyone can’t wait to meet her. (My recommendation is to stay away just like me).
