New MOI Website

The Ministry of Interior have redesigned their website (for the worse in my opinion) and with it have removed an English version. You can’t view an English version of the site which means expats will have a much more difficult time trying to check and see if they have any speeding fines and other online services. Luckily they still haven’t deleted the old English site yet and it can still be accessed by manually replacing the word arabic in the url with the word english.

Arabic site: http://moi.gov.kw/portal/varabic/
English site: http://moi.gov.kw/portal/venglish/

Thanks Avay

    But I have few comment:

    1. We are all aware about mobile browsing, did any body told MOI there is comptibilty issue.

    2. Why should I use the worst internet browser (Internet Explorer), what if I use Apple products, should I buy another PC to do my business on MOI site.

    3. Is there help-deck for errors and issues, I have very bad experience as I paid my traffic tickets and it is not reflect on the system till 3 months later

    just thoughts :)

    Regards,

I guess non-arab expats will have to open the site using Google chrome and use the Page translation option.

Does anyone knows what a functional, cross browser, user friendly site is?

I work in MOI and have looked into the matter since I believe it is important to have the site in English as well, and they have informed me that they are currently working on it. Inshallah it will be up soon

As for the other problems well I keep telling them to double check for errors and such (keep in mind I don’t work in the same department) but unfortunately what goes in one ear comes out the other.. I still try but I’m sure everyone knows how govt jobs are here in Kuwait..
