SIRENS
This brings back some memories. I was walking back from Baskin Robbins when the sirens started blasting. They must have installed a new system because it was fucking loud. Like so loud it sounds like its coming from everywhere, I felt like I was in a movie. I recorded a short clip with my phone you can watch it by clicking the link. [Video]

Wow! It wasn’t loud at all when I went out.
i heard that it was accidentally triggered. i guess some guy was leaning on the switch and turned it on.

Damn from the video it sounds loud as a motherfucker! I want to know who was the idiot that switched it on!
dude it was a lot louder then u can image. what i was recording in the video btw was the source of the sound. notice its not the old rotating siren, its a new fixed device. i felt sorry for the people living in the building opposite the sirens.
It was so loud that my wife was in panic and started calling all her family.Some friends were so funny who started saying to me;
“Make sure your car is filled with gas and be ready to escape!!!!” actually he’s refering to the Iraqi attacks!!!!

Jeez, that’s effing scary! I can’t possibly imagine what it must be like to experience that in person…God bless the UAE and it’s distance from trouble/Iraq!
Glad to hear I wasn’t the only one who freaked out. It brought back freaky memories – of how it didn’t go off on the 2nd of August – and I know the difference between a drill siren and the land attack/air raid siren.
I even checked if I had duct tape to start taping the windows :S

yeah i remember listening to the drills pre invasion, so i find it hilarious how they keep testing it when the one time they did need it on the 2nd nothing happened.
guess the dude that was meant to switch it on was already in saudi at the time >:(

whoever accidentally triggered it must be an absolute dipshit. besides, arent the siren buttons protected by some case that needs a key to open or something?? or are they on the wallright next to the bathroom lights?
