So the above message is not true and as one reader pointed out, it leads us to believe that there are a lot of cockroaches running around Marina Mall.

It’s meant to be funny. They wanna ask people to stop throwing the butts on the floor, and thought that would be a funny catchy way of putting it. You know, instead of the typical “PLEASE DO NOT” signs that everyone ignores.
But I guess it isn’t much of a succes, since not everyone is getting it or thinking it’s funny.
I mean, seriously people, I hardly think the point is to advertise the abundancy of roaches in Marina mall:) At least I hope not!!

i think you guys are taking it way too seriously, at least they are trying.. to me it made perfect sense that the sole reason was to put it in a humorous way.. and i wont lie.. i did smile to it and thought it was original.. don’t make too much of a big deal out of it.
I thought it was a joke. Reasonably funny too. Obviously, these things can backfire in this part of the world as people seem to take things literally. Must say, I was surprised at Mark. He even researched it…now that is geeky!

lol..that was a picture of the “wall sign” version of it which you can stick on the walls of your room.
It was not suppose to be taken literally. It is a bit of a joke. It is trying to imply that when you throw butts on the floor, cockroaches may smoke it..and then get cancer….
