I think he’s cool, suitable for freaky/artistic/strange-but-true movies

  2. Me says:

they couldn’t have picked a better actor. how could you doubt him

  3. pinkdress says:

    i don’t really like Depp

  4. Mark says:

If you look at Christian Bale, every movie he is a completely different character. Johnny Depp on the other hand is the same in every fucking movie. Same moves, same style, same way of talking. If you’ve seen him in Fear and Loathing you’ve seen all his moves which he just repeats in all his other movies.

  5. HeartBeat says:

    Johnny Depp is cool !

But may be Robert Williams or Jim Carrey ?!

  6. zaydoun says:

He was good in “Public Enemies”

I’m glad that your opinion is your own Mark. I suppose you didn’t catch “Sweeney Todd” or “Secret Window”.

I can’t say I’ve seen too many of Depp’s movies but I can’t really draw any parallels between the characters I have seen him play. Sleepy Hollow, From Hell, Fear and Loathing, Pirates of the Caribbean, Public Enemies to name a few.
I’d say he’s one of the most multi-dimensional actors out there right now. Just my opinion

Well of course3 its Johnny Depp, it’s a Tim Burton movie and by now u should know theyre a team. They both like the eccentric side of art and they both do it so well. Add to it Helena Bonham Carter and boom! You’ve got urself a hit! Lately, they started doing stuff with Timothy Spall and Alan Rickman which I think is amazing … Johnny Depp is so multitalented, yes he does eccentric characters but every character is different and his portrayal of the characters is different. As for Tim Burton …. he’s a master at what he does … Can’t wait to watch their 7th collaboration :D

I’m sick of Tim Burton, you’re talking about Johnny Depp not playing various roles? Maybe its because he’s always in Burton movies that are all mediocre and are similar in style. Sweeney Todd was shit, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was just “okay”. Burtons dead. He should just quit making movies. Big Fish was the last great thing he ever did.

  14. Patrick says:

its not Depp, its Burton. He’s pretty horrid and should quit directing. the last good thing he ever did was Big Fish.

  20. MJ says:

I agree with everyone else.. They couldnt have picked a better actor for this movie… I also agree with mark about christian bale, hes a solid actor and one of my favorites, along with edward norton.

  21. MJ says:

Another movie i cant wait to see is the “Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus” which is a Terry Gilliam movie who also directed fear and loathing and a bunch of other trippy movies.. Heath ledger stars in it too, along with like half of hollywood.

  22. Exile says:

This is supreme news; Burton & Depp collaborate once again…I have no doubt it will be another timeless masterpiece and will add to both their accolades.
