A friend told me about this earlier (Rand) and I wasn’t interested but as it turns out there is an actual video of the robbery which suddenly made it a lot more interesting. Turns out 2 cars drove into Wafi Mall and the occupents got out, robbed a jewellery store and then escaped in the 2 vehicles.

about dubai robbery finally the mafia play its role in dubai, cars were stolen the same day good choice in black and white also audi fast and can take good hits ( proof transpoter :D)
Definatly russian or german , arabs wont do such things for money..cant think of any other nationality to do such a thing..only russians can dispose off the hot jewels fast..
Burnt the car all the dna and proof gone…if cops dont catch them in 2 days i will assume there is somehting fishy.

Mall security at wafi, your having a laugh, they have a hard time staying awake. Highlight of their day is probably usually someone having a sly olive without paying for it while actually buying olvies from Wafi Gourmet.

This is almost impossible for Russians to bring veapons to Dubai from Russia by air. Plus it is not for sale in the UAE at all. I love this country and feell sorry for the safetyproblems. Few years back a Saudi police arrested drugs courier from Emirates. It was a truck delivering wheat powder. The Indian driver finally disclosed the network. Saudi police came to one of the small emirates close to Dubai (Ajman or Um-al-Qaiwain, I do not remember). Dubai police assited Saudi police in this investigation. They fond out that the heroin workshop was organized on the territory of one of the local Shekhs houses by Lebaneese engineer and … local police officers. Policemen from this small city were rich and used to change cars and buy villas but nobody suspected them in commiting crimes, since in general police in UAE has exellent reputation. The Saudis and Dubai police had to take permission from Sheikh Zayed , the President of the UAE to check the said house of local sheikh in northen emirates. thepermission was issued and the heroin factory was distroyed. Five or seven policmen were put to jail. That is from where the guns could come from to the local criminal groups to be used in such crimes like Wafi Center robbery.

Well, Let me say that this is something that never happened in dubai and actually nobody ever expected it like only 1% of a 100% a robbery can happen in a mall !!!
i am looking for witnesses of this event that were at the mall. if anyone knows of anyone that was there at the time that witnessed this event at the mall, on-lookers, fellow shoppers, security guards, cleaners, other shop workers. i’d be really keen to speak to you, this is to form part of a documentary for the BBC on the pink panthers. the documentary covers several raids of the group across the world.
