Business Attire

On tonights Mardi Gras event invite it says I should come in “Business Attire”. What the fuck is that? Nibaq and Stallion will both be wearing a suit but I used to think business attire meant shirt and pants. Also my business attire is jeans and tshirt so does that work?

Shirt & pants would do..i think, if you want wear a tie. But no jeans

Match a linen long-sleeve shirt with any of your formal trousers? Or leave work and buy yourself a suit if you don’t have one.

i have suits but i think i look too formal in them. i dont want to look like i am over dressed… i thought this event was going to be casual and fun :(

the invite says ‘business attire’ or something green, purple or golden … personally I’m going to wear jeans and a green t-shirt.

  5. Don Veto says:

You can always wear Mardi Gras colors, green purple and white, if I remember the invite correctly.

  6. Mark says:

sadly I am not very trendy, all my tshirts and shirts are like navy blue lol

I was told that business attire meant a suit (a pair of pants and a button down shirt with an option tie is called “Business Casual” and not business attire) as for the colors I was told that if you could have those colors on then fine if not then it’s no problem! Mardi Costumes are what the suposed meaning of the other attire which means fancy mardi gras masks and crazy stuff you see in the Mardi Gras parade!

Keep in mind that the Embassador will be there as well as lots of business men so jeans might be looked down upon plus it’s not a good thing to dress down for such an event!

I’ll there as well, i’ll try to keep an eye out for you guys – I have a rough idea of what Mark looks like (based on the Alghanim lookalike dude *insert Mark “i dont look like him! comment* )As for Il Padrino Don Veto and the other mates, I’ll have to guess…

Me? Not as hip as you guys – just a plain old dishdasha at the event. Hope everyone has a good time.

Mark…..one way you are lucky to go to office with jeans and t-shirt…I have to be formal everyday! ohh shit..i wish i could go like so casually without the tie and all things makes you breath less and feel so tensed!

  15. Nouf says:

Mark, I just got back from there. I kept a look out for you but I don’t really know what you look like!

this is a really late response from me ;P
They always say formal or celebratory, every year you end up seeing a mixture of people wearing different things. I personaly wore a jeans and a top that had Mardi Grass colors.
