My lift install nearly done

2004 Wrangler TJ 3.75\" Lift

I dropped off my Jeep at Auto Tech yesterday night so they could start installing my lift early today morning. I just passed by after work and they had practically finished the installation. They only have the motor mount spacers to install, a spare tire bracket to tweak and a test drive to make sure everything is fine. So I will passing by again tomorrow to pick up the Wrangler and then take better pictures. I managed to take a few shots now but there wasn’t much room to maneuver. They will also be flipping the tires inside out so that the white markings are facing the inside, that way the tires will be totally black matching the black rims.

congratulations mark, its looking great !

I would leave the tiers as is.. no need to flip them, because the white script will still show becuase of the hight of the Jeep and that will look really odd.

Your best bet would be using a black marker to make them black, personally i like the white script is gives the Jeep a more classic look.

adrenaline: i thought about that but all the pictures i saw online you barely can see the white script when its faced inside. actually, when i first started seeing totally black tires i posted asking how they removed the white script and everyone was like “duh you dont”. you can only see the white when you look under the car or if you’re like midget height.. no offense to midgets

btw it doesn’t show well in this picture but the jeep is pretty high now, if it wasnt for the side steps i dont think nat would be able to get in.

Back in the days….we used to spray the tiers with a matte black color spray can to get that deep black color…well that was before STP introduced the matte virgin of its tire cleaner.

You can give that a try ;-)
