Steve Jobs Kicked Ass

[YouTube]

I posted this video earlier in the week on 248PM but it feels appropriate to post it here today. I’ve been a Mac guy since before the iPod but it’s hard to deny how much the iPod has helped Apple. So I flipped through my photo archive and found some pictures of my original iPod. Steve Jobs didn’t invent the iPod, but he did make it happen and Apple is what it is today because of him.

Below are some shots of my original iPod. The picture taken in front of the Kuwait Towers is actually Nibaq, we took the picture for iPod Lounge back in 2002.

Truly a genius. Whether you are an Apple fan or not, the man was truly inspirational. The world has lost a leader, a father, a husband, a CEO, an innovator, a friend and most importantly…a great person. Hope his legacy lives on through Apple and his followers.

Am not an Apple guy but I do beleieve that Steve was one of the most inspiring CEOs in history.

looking at the first iPod is like looking at a 17th century piece of equipment even though its not far long ago. wow

I found it ironic that most of us learnt about his passing on devices he invented! I’m sure he would have loved that! As for me…. iSad! 

where in the name of the good Lord do you get your info!!! Steve Job is an AMERICAN!!! GET WITH IT

    • LizQ8 says:

Steve Jobs was adopted. His biological mother was American while his father was an educated well established Syrian who didn’t want the burden! Steve Jobs found out about his biological patents when he was 27! It’s his American adopted patents that nurtured him and supported him so he could reach his potential! All the Syrians can claim on this one is that he gave him up for a better life! Now how smart was his Syrian father!!!

      • LizQ8 says:

Sorry damn spellcheck. Parents not patents!

      • deQor8 says:

        so story short … he’s American :P

          • Bader says:

Wat u said is true.. But America offered him the chance to be successful, just imagine if he left back to syria with his father, he probably would have never got anywhere. The genius and motivation was in him, not the parents that adopted him. If u watched his speech in Stanford Uni.. He says that his parents were saving Money throughout his life for his college, even though it was his decision to drop out after the first year.

            • LizQ8 says:

I have to disagree with you. Whoever you are today is a result of upbringing, environment and how you are raised. This goes to your parents The fact he saved up for college is actually the norm of families in the USA. His decision to go to university and then drop out is also normal within American families. Once a child is an adult in America he is responsible for his own decisions. Something taught to him from his adopted parents I’m sure more than his biological. To say his adopted parents had no influence is naive. Behavior is more taught than inherited. That is why everything in life we experience makes us who we are today and depending on the strength and character of the person, how they handle their baggage His biological father went abroad and knocked up another woman and left her and the child. Jobs was a loving and dedicated husband and father, something I’m sure he got from his adopted family and not his biological one!

As for Jobs, he himself considers his adopted family, the family behind him!

He knew he was dying and chose the family he wanted around him during those final moments.

Can’t we just agree that he’s an American citizen, that grew up around the American culture. But if you look at his racial background then he’s part Syrian/American. End of story.

At least we can all agree the creator of the iPod is Lebanese :D

  16. Jacqui says:

May he rest in peace he brought us many things, devices we have come to love and stuff that was pure genius.

I will miss his genius, I will miss him.

  18. LizQ8 says:

@hish. First of all what??? And second of all YOU are wrong. I have always called a terrorist exactly that – A TERRORIST! Although what has that to do with Steve Jobs?
