Three shows you should be watching right now

Veep
Veep is a new comedy from HBO starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Elain from Seinfeld) and Tony Hale (Buster from Arrested Development). Julia is the vice president of the United States of American and she’s surrounded by a team of dimwit advisors. Super funny. [IMDB]

Continuum
It’s a sci-fi thriller and a good one which is a rare find these days. The show takes place in two timelines, 2077 and 2012. Without ruining the story too much, a few terrorists from the future end up making their way to 2012 and a female detective accidentally ends up in the past with them. They want to change the future and she’s trying to stop them. [IMDB]

Touch
Honestly I thought this was going to be a lame drama about a single father trying to take care of his disabled kid and the only reason I considered watching it is because the father is Kiefer Sutherland (Jack Bauer from 24). But, after watching the pilot episode I’m so hooked on this show. It’s nothing like I expected it to be and if you loved the movie Magnolia you’re so going to love the pilot. [IMDB]

I’ve heard good things about Veep. Also Louie Season 3 has just started up again.

I don’t watch too many non-comedy shows lol, Game of Thrones was the only one I followed weekly.

yeah and the second season of both suits and wilfred started as well but i was trying to highlight new shows that are still in their first season.

Veep sounds good, especially if Buster is involved lol.

I’d watch Touch if it involves the dad defusing nuclear warheads, taking down terrorists and making pancakes for breakfast before the boy wakes up 😀

Thanks for the recommendations Mark I will check them out. You should do this on a monthly basis like update us on what shows you’re watching and so on 😛

we’re talking about new shows that has one or two seasons, brand new, everyone knows Breaking Bad is cool show!

I tried to watch “Touch” but Keith is always huffing and buffing as if a bear is running after him even if he’s not doing anything. Its irritating how his breathing is. He needs to control it.. It doesn’t go with the character he’s playing.

The creator left for Season 4 so it might get worse again lol

Also I thought it picked up halfway through Season 1, but if you watch random episodes it’s not that funny. Kinda need to watch from the beginning.

a B-Rated comedy? It’s probably the most creative and interesting comedy on television at the moment. You probably don’t get most of the jokes because you’re not up to date with pop culture these days, you’re part of the older generation 😛

One of the best new shows out there is “The Newsroom” give it a shot, with just 2 episode it got renewed today for a second season. Also check out “Common Law” and “Men at Work” I have a feeling you would enjoy them.

I really loved “Veep” it was one of those shows that you can basically finish the entire season in one sitting and not feel it!

The last 2 episodes season two of Walking Dead picked it back up, setting it up for the third. I guess boring is what happens when the director gets fired and most of the crew/cast couldn’t understand why. It did have an impact on the writing and overall direction of the show, and it isn’t linear with the comics. I think season 3 will be worth sticking around for.

I would throw one more show in the mix
“Life’s Too Short” https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1641247/
