Some of you already noticed that I changed the blog banner last night from the “THEBSIDES” to “The A-SIDES”. Continuing to use the term B-Sides didn’t make sense since 2:48AM wasn’t the B-Side anymore. Originally during my Miskan project I needed a place to dump photos and talk about things that didn’t have room on Miskan (remember I was limited to 1 post a day) and so 2:48AM was created and the B-Side tag slapped on.
My Miskan project ended 5 years ago and 2:48AM no longer was the B-Side, instead it became the A-Side and I don’t know why it took me so long to change that.
So 2:48AM is now the A-Side but that made me realize something. When the blog first started I used to post 5+ posts per day. As the site grew and my readership base grew I started becoming a lot more picky to what to post and what not to. This is why I decided to create a B-Side to 2:48AM, a place where I could post stuff that wouldn’t usually make it on my main site here but was still content that many people would find interesting.
2:48PM [The B-Sides] is now live and you can access it by going to www.248pm.com or clicking the link on the far right of the navigation bar on top of this site. Starting today you will have a lot more posts and content to shift through so I hope everyone enjoys it. Any comments, feedback and ideas are always welcomed of course.

I was thinking of asking you how did you come up with the 2:48am name. I thought it might be when you go to bed, or you meant 24 hours a day X 2 = 48, then I said let me Google: 2:48 which was surprising the answer— open for public:

I really like the idea, it really makes sense, u come across alot of nice things sometimes but most are not “right” enough to post on the main blog. Congrats, liked the banner color too
I changed the favicon of this site to now show a pink square with the letter A in it while 248PM is a grey box with a B in it. So that way when you have them as tabs you see A and B 🙂
Also brought back all the blog links back over there since I removed some stuff from the sidebar and had more room to add stuff.
what took you so long? and now that you mention 248pm, wasn’t there a ‘fake Mark’ site some years ago? whatever happened to that guy? 🙂
The fake mark had https://www.248-am.com/
He took the site down ages ago but he still has the username mark248am on youtube with all the adult videos.

It was a difficult decision to make color wise but my decision was very well thought through. Actually the whole branding of 2:48PM was carefully considered over a good period of time since 248AM and PM are very similar and would already cause confusion. Having two separate colors or two separate themes would have further added to the confusion. At one point I actually considered having the b-sides a section within this blog.
I originally had 2:48PM cyan but quickly decided to change it since 248PM is supposed to be a page 2 of this blog and not a completely different competing blog with its own color scheme and branding. having it magenta would have caused confusion between the two sections so a gray monochromic color was the final decision. 2:48AM sticks out and is more distinguishable as the primary blog while 2:48PM becomes a more obvious colorless b-side.
