Note for iOS7 users

I just upgraded my iPhone to iOS7 and realized both my 248AM and Kuwait Blogs app now no longer work. I need to update them so will be doing so this weekend. Once the update is available I’ll let you know.

I just made the mistake of going ios7 on my ipad2, as it looks like something that was designed for kindergarten kids. It also has a feel of Windows 8.

I think it’s really cool and slick actually, but I’m using it on the phone not ipad. Also finally control center. FINALLY.

Turn off pretty much any location services and a lot of the background stuff, that seemed to help for me.

By default the stupid thing tracks where you go during the day and then automatically tells you stuff like “This is your home, this is your work” which destroys battery.

I wish phones would stop shoving gimmicks in there and just work on battery life

sometimes it’s quicker to load any links in your post via safari and you do have a button for that in your app (top right) which only works after the link has already been fully loaded in the app.

Off topic, any idea if the US iPhone 5S would work in the UAE? Is it worth buying it online from the Apple website? Thanks.

Save your battery life with iOS 7 on your iPhone 5

With newly introduced iOS 7 everyone has complaints about increasing battery drain on iPhone 5. Below are few steps which can help you to save your battery life to a very great extent.

1- Disable Background App Refresh. Go in Settings > General > disable app refresh option

2- Alter or disable your location services. This will impact a lot on ur battery life.

3- Disable “Air Drop” feature. As it is when required you can always enable by pulling up ur new control center

4- Turn off “Reduce Motion” option which is in your Settings > Accessibility
