Today I got an email from Sony, I was accepted to be a beta tester for SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo for the PSP. According to Sony:
Congratulations on being selected to participate in this exclusive public beta test. As a beta tester, you should receive the following item(s) via UPS in approximately 29 days:
– UMD Beta Disc
– Beta Manual
This is going to kick ass, SOCOM is going to be the first PSP game that can be played online and I will get to beta test it!

Hallo Mark,
I would like to compliment you on both your blog and project. I have been following them for several weeks now and enjoyed them very much: very informative, inspiring and entertaining. Especially you project. It actually inspired me to start my own blog yesterday.
Keep up the good work.

Hello Mark,
I would like to bless you with the gift of islam rrrlijinn that Allah has given to me too.
seriously that’s pretty awesome, the only beta test i ever got in was one for this shitty MMOG called neocron and it was absolute shite.
Need someone to dump the iso. Would be great for the whole community, just set up a tracker. 😉
I got the email the bad thing is that i will get the demo on the end of sep
“the first PSP game that can be played online”
Where the hell have you been all this time?
you can play online with probably 5 games already. I know poker, gretzky, Atv offroad fury, Twisted metal: head on, and there’s another one i can’t remember that can be played online and i don’t mean you with your buddy head to head with 2 psps, I mean online infrastructure mode.
i just got what u meant. sorry about that
no problem, I wasn’t talking about playing with someone across the table from you, I meant playing over the Internet with someone across the world from you.
well you can still do that with the games i mentioned, all you need is a wireless Access point . And for the games that you can only play “with someone across the table from you” you can also play against someone across the world by doing this little trick https://www.xbconnect.com/ or this https://www.teamxlink.co.uk/index.php
Have fun
not really, with KAI you need a certain model access point and you need to install their own custom firmware on it which will just make it work with the PSP. Even then if you get it all working your latency would still be screwed.
