I’m leaving to London early Friday morning for a week. It’s going to be a chilled out vacation and so far I’ve got the following things planned, all of which I haven’t done before:
– Cadbury World
– Stonehenge
– The Newman Arms
– G Kelly Pie
– The Last Tuesday Society
– The Hideout aka Trisha’s
– Cabman’s Shelter
– Bicester Village
Still trying to find an interesting castle to visit. Oh and I need to walk through Hyde Park. For some reason I haven’t done that yet. I’ll be staying at Easy Hotel in Paddington again since I had a good experience the last time. I’m going for a slightly larger room this time around so looking forward to that. If anyone has any recommendations on where to go just leave a comment below. I’ll of course be going to the regular places like Harrods, Oxford Street, Portobello Road, Borough Market etc…

ill say skip the Stonehenge, total waste of time .. and visit the Windsor castle
if you are going to bicester also go to woodstock village which is close, have lunch in the bar at the feathers hotel and then go through the village to blenheim palace.oxford close by too.
also for a great pizza in london try the chelsea farmers market on sydney street.
forget cadbury world/b’ham.
As you are planning to visit Birmingham anyway to go to Cadbury World, you can also visit Warwick Castle https://www.warwick-castle.co.uk/ It is very interesting castle especially in a sunny day! Enjoy your stay and have fun.

camden is one of those locations that i pass by on every trip, plus theres an RC store there I need to pass by. Also been to the zoo which was pretty cool. Renting a bike doesn’t sound cool in the cold ๐
Think of how many extra burgers you could eat by riding around on a bike Mark… hehehe!
Do not ride a bike in London. Leave that for the people who are used to it as it is DANGEROUS. It’s not a question of the cold it’s that the bikers come super close to the cars. Don’t do it!
If you’re a shopping type of person I suggest you go to westfeilds it’s basically 360 london but nicer :p
For RC Models….Visit Ripmax … Its in Enfield…. One of the largest dealers for RC products and supplies within UK…. Contact them before u go there and they might just give u an appointment….u’ll love their warehouse….since its the biggest for RC hobby ive ever seen.
check out Old Spitalfields Market and the area around it they’re deffiniteley one of my favourite places in london , and brick lane is also worth a visit.
Has anyone visited Greenwich? Is it worth going to?
If you got a whole day to spare and u want to get away from london go to the north.
there’s an outdoor museum called “Beamish museum” it’s much like a time machine that takes you back in time and you can actually see live actions.
if you are interested drop me an email would be happy to help ๐
You need to go to Hache, best burger I’ve ever had.
There’s one by where I live and I believe it will rate pretty high on your list of great burgers
Actually, speaking of burgers, HAWKESMOORE in Covent Garden is amazing. Also, Tom’s Kitchen near Sloane Sq has one of the best burgers I’ve had in London.
If you have time, try to grab some lunch at stick & Bowl in Kensington high st. right in front of the Royal Gardens Hotel, its a little place always packed and great food! The chicken chow mien is AMAZING!!
I agree plus the royal garden hotel is one of my favorites in London . Amazing penthouse suite view of the pArk
Hit old Compton road cafe 34, the smallest cafe in London but the best hot chocolate in the world (best kept secret in London)
Also have dinner at Sakura (conduit street) and order the Tendon and karoke
Out of this world never tasted anything like it
go to byron, great burgers
So how are you flying there? Which airline? Business class? Why did you choose this airline? Good price?
I’m flying British Airways, Economy Class (World Traveler). BA because it’s quickest way to get to London (direct flight no stops). My only other option would be Kuwait Airways. Price is good since I got it on sale. Paid around 190 per ticket I think. Cheapest I;ve ever flown to london was for KD147 also BA during sale.
I’m envious – a little ๐
Would love to see Stonehenge!
Have a great time!
If you have 2 days to spare, check out the Eden Project in Cornwall
Check out the following restaurants – highly recommended:
1. Oak โ Best for their wood-fired oven pizza (courgettes and truffle oil pizza is good)
2. The Breakfast Club โ Go early or else you will be waiting in a long line
3. Halepi โ Best Greek food ever !
4. Ottolenghi โ Their desserts are to die for especially the S’mores
5. Busaba Eathai โ Delicious Thai food (If you are planning to go to Biecster Village, they have it there too)
6. Portobello Market โ You can have breakfast at 202. Good pancakes and French toast
7. Richoux โ for scones
8. Manqala โ Good Iraqi Food. Their ghozi is delicious
Go to borough market on Sunday. Also don’t forget to have roast on Sunday too.
I would say Blenheim Palace and, in London, Camden Market.
You should check out the city of Bath. Beautiful.
I think the way the bicycle rentals work is you pay an access fee plus usage. If you’re going to use it on and off for a week, pay for 1 week access. Then you’ll have to pay for the actual usage.
Go to secret cinema. They don’t tell what movie is playing they just tell u the theme and u have to dress accordingly. AMAZING experience. Look it up in the internet
YOU HAVE 2 HAVE 2 TRY AMAYA RESTAURANT IT IS EXPENSIVE but it is DELICIOUS
Below are some places I have gone and would recommend on top of the staple places, some of which you listed already.
Chislehurst Caves, it was cool, and off the beaten path.
Dali exhibit , it’s right beneath the Eye of London. I stumbled upon some Banksy pieces near a hospital across from the Eye, so that by itself made the trip worth it.
Tate Modern Art Gallery
Maritime Museum and Royal Observatory in Greenwich
Go watch Wicked or Spamalot. Depending on showings seeing a play at the Globe is also neat.
My wife went to Stonehenge, and she said it was a good half day or more and wasn’t what she thought it would be. If you don’t rent a car, there are tours, but again it eats up a lot of time.
I hope you enjoy the trip man.
For a taste of something different try the Gay Hussar. It’s a Hungarian restaurant and does traditional Hungarian dishes such as Hideg Meggyleves (Chilled Wild Cherry Soup) and Tรบrรณs Palacsinta (Sweet Cheese Pancakes).
Details: The Gay Hussar Restaurant, 2 Greek Street, Soho, London, W1D 4NB – Tel: 020 7437 0973
If you’re going to biscester village, you must must must eat the amorelli nutella ice-cream!! its delicious!! Best ice-cream ever! you should also go to M&M’s world i bought every kind of chocolate when i went there, you also have to go to Marks and Spencers food market (infront of selfridges or Brompton road-a few meters away from Harrods) and taste their Jazz Apple and Pink Lady (2 different types of apple) and i have to tell you the truth, Do NOT go to Kensington Palace-its so boring, hope this helped!!
its very cold there now I would recommend to bring your best winter clothes first before I suggest you to go to any place .
have a safe trip ..
We’re going in March .. and will stay at The Churchill … not sure what to expect but I too am looking forward to checking out Hyde Park and Oxford Street etc.
If you love Harrods hampers then don’t miss Frtnum and Mason https://www.fortnumandmason.com/
Also, check Caffe Concerto in Regent Street (near National Geographic) for breakfast or dessert or just a cake. They also have a restaurant in Westfield but did not try it yet. https://www.caffeconcerto.co.uk/
dont miss out on Madame Tussauds! It’s the original one. Also if you have time, visit Sherlock Holme’s home (it’s a museum now) and on the same street as madame tussauds (baker street)
Visit the year zero store on Greek street right off carnally street
The winners of this years x-factor (little mix) were styled from there
Very modern punk art fusion fashions – a treat for the eyes
