Flying Kuwait Airways First Class to London

kuwaitairwaysfirstclass1

Yesterday I asked if Kuwait Airways were flying their new planes to London and it turns out they are. One of my readers put me in contact with a friend of his who recently flew to London with Kuwait Airways and he sent me a few pictures. At first I was really impressed thinking I was looking at pictures of the Kuwait Airways business class but then I found out this in fact was the Kuwait Airways first class and my excitement dropped. But I was only looking at pictures so I decided to ask the reader about his experience flying Kuwait Airways and this is what he had to say:

Considering Kuwait Airways history with appalling planes, these are brand new and clean. You can see that the staff are glad and proud to serve you because of the state of the plane. They’re more lively now and very friendly. The touch-screen is huge and has a 3-D map of the trip. The movies are not old, I can say that much. The food, I feel, has always been good but the variety now is vast and tasty. The bathrooms are clean as well. The seat is very spacious and you can slide it down all the way to make it into a bed (Not completely flat, maybe 150-160 degrees).

I haven’t traveled first class on KA for a long time but since they got the new planes, I felt like I needed to experience it again. It is worth it but obviously nothing compared to Qatar Airways and Emirates. KA have a long way to go but they’re on the right track IF they can keep the planes clean and up to standard because I feel like they won’t be able to keep them like that. It was first class and they send you a chauffeur to pick you up and drive you to the airport and vice versa. Its all included in the ticket. Very fancy Mercedes. Qatar Airways have their own lounge in Heathrow, I was granted access to Gulf Air lounge, which isnt bad but Qatar Airways and Emirates is much better because of the benefits. For example, if you book first class on Qatar Airways, you can ship your car with you for free. Furthermore, in business class on Qatar Airways, you flatten the seat completely and they give you a comfy bed to put over your seat and the lounge is amazing.

Oh yeah! Theres no wifi on the plane! Once there will be, it won’t be for free on KA. In Emirates first class, you can take a shower on the plane and the bathrooms are quite large for an airplane. On either Emirates or Qatar first class, the chef can cook you anything you like.

According to the same reader the business class seats on that flight were just over-sized economy seats with larger screens.

I flew economy with Kuwait Airways a few months back to Lebanon and had a positive experience. They’re now my second airline of choice when flying to Beirut and the only reason they’re not the first is because MEA flies over Syria making the trip an hour shorter as well as the fact they serve alcohol.

I knew they had the potential and now they will be flying high like other airlines. I tried for cabin crew but they are only taking Kuwaitis right now. hope they keep up the service this way.

Did they start replacing their flight attendant’s with porn stars? By the way, did they ever release a statement on the status of the pilot? They were supposed to do that weeks ago? I am an expat and would never fly them, well maybe, if porn stars were hired???

Yes Kuwait Airways have improved a lot and don’t get me wrong it’s not perfect yet but it definitely got a lot better. Now as for failures it went through the past years, the same IF not worse has happened to other nearby airlines (Qatar/UAE). I’ve personally been a victim of countless hours of delays for stupid reasons, mistreatment and lost/delayed bags when I flew with other GCC airlines but I was surprised that nothing gets mentioned around in media/social platforms about these things, it almost feels like there’s a conspiracy going out that tries to exaggerate anything bad that happens with Kuwait Airlines but undermines the worst that happens to their competitors. What supports that conspiracy is the “purchase” or “movement” of stewardess that Kuwait Airlines had to their competitors.

I don’t think this guy has ever flown first class before. “On either Emirates or Qatar first class, the chef can cook you anything you like” that is complete BS because i have flown first class on emirates and even first class on the a380 you have a menu to choose from and the choices a pretty limited. BUT you can PRE-ORDER a dish if you diabetic of vegan (you don’t choose what dish it is), which is also available on KA.

“in Emirates first class, you can take a shower on the plane and the bathrooms are quite large for an airplane” you do realise the shower in the bathroom is only available on the a380 right? and idk if you realised but you weren’t on an a380. The bathrooms can’t be larger because all airlines cause all planes of the SAME MODEL have the same sized bathroom its standard on a plane. Maybe your talking about a DIFFERENT MODEL that looks the same.

I don’t think the review is goes to detail into how the his experience was.

Idk if you noticed but sulaiman is a boy’s name, if you feel the need to insult please think of something more… creative and smart :). Good day :*

Sounds like anyone that has to defend their gender is a female at birth…

Have you considered changing your name to ‘bob’?

I really don’t appreciate the insult as I put a lot of effort into giving this information to Mark. I said I wasn’t sure which airline has the option for you to have a chef that cooks you whatever you want, it was either Emirates or Eithad.
And btw, what you said about the A380 doesn’t change the fact that the shower is still there, so sitting behind your screen and acting all tough isn’t really doing you any favours brain-wise. And judging by your sad nickname, I’m going to assume you should lay off on the sugar before you get something… Like diabetes, incase you didn’t figure it out. Thats called a joke. Did you understand that?
If you have an issue with it, I’d be more than glad to hear you call me that to my face instead of sitting behind a screen. This is my number 60940006.

Wow. Though I mean no offence I see it as necessary that you give proper information when gifting your opinion to the internet and the world. Neither Qatar, Etihad or any airline other than a private jets are you able to get what ever you wish to stuff your face with, why? Because as you travel on a plane your taste buds go numb and the “chief” has to actually add extra flavor to the food to insure you can taste it, so he has to cook the food several times before getting the favor just right the process takes days to complete and they aren’t going to do this so every single passenger as this would be a major waste of money and time. As for the a380,KA doesn’t have an A380 and so it isn’t exactly fair for you to compare a normal small aircraft to an A380, its like comparing a 4×4 to a corolla when it comes to off road capability. Get me? As for my nickname.. I like it :3, I don’t like cookies I just found it KAWAII. I don’t exactly see the point in bringing it into the discussion which does make me ask with respect of course “int shako?”. Lastly if you are unable to take criticism then I do not recommend being on social media where we all are judged and criticized for our actions and OPINIONS. If I did call I would be behind a screen lol. I’d rather not call you because I barely even know you and personally don’t see you as very friendly or open to discussion. GoodDay

Even if they give me the ticket for free I wouldn’t fly them. Emirates remains my FIRST choice when it comes to air travel. While flying Emirates, elite Skywards members and premium passengers are treated special in Kuwait. Not only do they have their own exclusive lounge in Kuwait (a feature which Kuwait Airways is missing) but they also separate passengers in boarding the aircraft before entering the gate (elite flyers and premium passengers are given priority in security screening and boarding the aircraft before economy class passengers.)

In addition, in premium class, business/first class passengers bus are separated from economy class passengers bus. When I flew Kuwait Airways to Dubai with their new fleet in business class, economy class passengers were using the business class bus, hence limiting seating on the bus as some business class passengers had to stand up until the bus reached the aircraft.)

For me, GO EMIRATES ALL THE WAY 🙂

Kuwait Airways is improving, It will take time and won’t happen over night, But it’s happening, With the opening of the new supporting teminal and the arraival of new 777 fleet Kuwait Airways will have dedicated launges and gates, And later with new airport and the arrival of the A350 fleet Kuwait Airways will be once again the airline we always relied on since 1954.

I flew Kuwait Airways business class to Alexandria a few weeks ago and it was a new aircraft. I loved it, the seat was comfortable and the food was fine. I didn’t check out the entertainment because I was reading a book.

But most importantly, IT LEFT ON TIME!!!!
