I just read about this on Autoblog and thought it was a pretty cool idea and one they should apply here in Kuwait as well.
Police in Abu Dhabi take traffic violations very seriously, and they’re reportedly adding a new tool to their arsenal – public shaming. After the evening news bulletin, videos will be shown of various traffic offenses along with the fines and penalties they incur. They have already lined up 30 such video violations and plan to run the series for a month.
It would be cooler though if the show was more like the popular reality American TV show COPS. [Link]

Lol cool!
I video tapped me driving around here in Kuwait and made 5 videos. Each of the videos occur only in one or just two days and they’re each like 5 minutes full of people breaking the law, accidents almost occurring, and general craziness. I suggest you check it out:

That’s a crappy idea. When speed cameras were first installed in Kuwait they would give you a picture of your car along with the speed it was doing. Soon enough this turned into a game of top trumps with idiots competing with each other on who has the ‘highest score’. That’s the reason they no longer give you the picture of the traffic violation. I can only imagine whats going to happen in Abu Dhabi.
They haven’t stopped giving out pictures, you just need to request it.
I wish that would come to Kuwait. It wouldn’t work anyway, but if it would, I’d support it. 😛
I could have not understood the video without the red circle!
Good idea, they should also show photo of the car owner to fix the perverts.
Yeah yeah we do have the same here in Kuwait
(dreaming)
Knowing how some think of here, that would probably increase the traffic violations, just cause some would want to be on TV
I don’t agree that the current camera networks to be used in such a manner, Big Brother anyone.
idiots, if they do this in kuwait
u’ll see lots of stickers having emails bb pins mobile numbers .. etc to improvise
+ more stupidity from drivers to get famous on tv
remember what happened after they released fast and furious in the us ?????
Bad boyz, bad boyz….whatchagonna do… whatchagonna do when they come for you….
BRING IT, Kuwait. Every time I have some little creep pulling monkey games (also known as “reckless driving”) near me, I pull out my camera and start shooting. You’ve never seen them straighten out so fast. Monkey to human in 0.6 seconds…. ah, just smell the fear of YouTube.
Well Done !!
LOOL NICE VID BY THE WAY
Where will they telecast it at, KTV, those who watch KTV raise your hands
Do they still drive like crazy in Kuwait?
Pretty cool actually. I guess it’ll be impossible to implement those cameras in Kuwait cause they will leave half of Kuwait broke from fines and the other half without cars.
omg lool for a while i thought COP was a comedy serial
