Foo Fighters Live at Madison Square Garden

Last night I went to the Foo Fighters concert here in New York and it kicked ass! I was worried they would only play their new stuff which I am not too familiar with but lucky for me they played for 3 hours and included all my favorite songs from their first and second album. The stadium was packed with around 20,000 fans since it was a sold out concert and you could watch the video I shot above that kinda shows how packed it was. Song kicks in at around 4 minutes. Hey I saw them live in 2005 or 2006, back when I still liked all their albums 😛 They opened the set with One by One and closed with Everlong, it was amazing. Openers were Weezer and they were bad

There were two opening bands but my favorite between them were The Joy Formidable. Lead singer went seizure crazy started slamming her guitar and then went all psycho on this huge gong. good stuff

Their old stuff rocks and their new album Wasting Light is one of their best yet .. you gotta download it ASAP .. I listened to it over & over while in China and on the plane ride back … still can’t get enough of it

Nice.. Reminds of 30 Seconds To Mars concert in Abu Dhabi. Speaking of which, in New York 6th and 7th of december 30 Seconds To Mars will play with Muse.. am so tempted O.O!

Foo Fighters are known to put on a good show (as I’m sure you know). I’d love to see them live sometime.

I prefer their older albums, but I really think Wasting Light is an important step in a new direction. Grohl is showing some influence from his buddy Josh Homme (lead of Queens of the Stone Age – a superior band IMO), and I think it can lead to great things.

I was at this concert as well and this was by far the best performance i’ve ever seen!! The Foo Fighters put on a great show with old music and music off the new album “Wasting Light” which i think is one of the best album’s they’ve made. So many good hits on it!! FF!!!
