Azteca Authentic Mexican Restaurant

A friend of mine just posted about a new Mexican restaurant that opened up in The Village. Going by the pictures and write up it looks like the place is actually pretty good. Check out his post [Here]

Hi,
We aren’t open yet. We will be open to the general public in a couple of weeks. Website, et al should be available by then. We apologise for taking longer than expected to open. However that is to ensure that we do Mexican food justice and not open for the sake of just opening. We hope to see you soon at Azteca and hope you enjoy the food as much as we do.

And again how about those chimichangas ?

OT: Best Mexican restaurant in middle east is definitely in Sheraton Abu Dhabi… F-in awesome

Trust me – her food is AMAZING! Best I have had – really FRESH ingredients – Azteca’s selling point is the ingredients and the chef – all the way from mexico! We are talking AUTHENTIC TASTES!

Because no one wants to walk, they all want to park in front of restaurants when they have that HUGGGGGGGGGGGE parking lot on the side ….

Didn’t mean crowded in that sense, meant crowded in the “everyone is gonna stare at you while you walk over to this restaurant” sense :I

I’m telling you guys, the food was good. I know the village is crowded but like Ifas said there is plenty of parking, just not in front of the establishments. I’ve been waiting for this place to open for over a year now, and was really excited to get a private invitation to go check out the food and I’m telling you that the wait was worth it.

Anybody know if they are open yet?! Mexican food is my favorite, so I’m just waiting for Azteca to open!

Well my wife and I finally made it by there with some of our friends that have already been there several times. We had the tostadas, rajas & verde tamales, al pastor tacos, side of frijoles refritos, churros, and horchata. ALL OF IT WAS AMAZING!!! The salsa is amzing as well. I’m from Texas and this is no Texmex! This is what you would get from the Mexican Dinning Restaurants that are opening everywhere back in the bigger cities in Texas. These are definitely Old Mexico recipes. We will be making regular trips here for sure until we have tried everyting on the menu. Congrats on your business and I will be sure to spread the word. Hopefully with word of mouth your customers will fill your pockets and you can open a larger one.

Hello…I’m a mexican chef with 9 years of experience looking for a job at a mexican restaurant in the Kuwait area…. If any of you know about one please let me know so I can get in contact and see if we can get a work deal.
Regards
