I still think the period between the 80s and early 90s was the coolest music scene, especially since Brit-pop was reigning big (Stock, Aitken & Waterman anyone?). I was also an avid reader of SH (their lingo was really hip & witty). Miss those days…
a-ha, europe, bangles, boney-m some more to add to the nostalgia
Memories!
Those were some days!
I went through a few pics from that era and I thought to myself, “What was I wearing?!?!” :oP The music though is what influenced our lives!
marky mark! how does he fit in that mix!
marky mark! how does he fit in that mix! hmm then again maybe because it his name is mark repeated, ha marky ;)?
Come on don’t tell me you didn’t like the song Good Vibrations??
umm, yes I did, BUT I DID NOT LOOK AT HIS BODY, I WAS LOOKING AT THE DANCERS 🙂
The Pet Shop Boys are music geniuses. Been listening to them since I was about 6 and they are one of my favourites of all time. The 80s were the best. For people like me and stallion, our music roots are firmly in that decade!
Oh maaan! I bought my first issue of Smash Hits in like 1996 or something, when it was only for Dhs13 or something…It was at the height of the Britpop craze (think Spice Girls, Boyzone, All Saints, etc) and It was THE coolest magazine–much better than crap TOTP lol…
ok.. Smash Hits was cool in the 80s but 96 dude??
No wallah it was LOL
Maybe only in Abu Dhabi haha
Whatever, I liked it 😛
