Egypt higher than Lebanon? Always thought Egyptian was one of the worst possible ones to have in terms of traveling.

Austrian passport(rank 5) is the best money can buy. No need to live in the country for so and so years, no need to learn German. Just cough up a couple of million Euros and the passport is yours.

So, we are one of the wealthiest nations in the World, our donations and financial support is not only directed towards the developing countries but also towards the developed and western countries, throughout our history we have had only three terrorists attacks EVER and two or three terrorists with native nationality, Kuwaitis have had the best conduct when traveling abroad and even expats at this blog try to offend Kuwaitis by reminding them how well they behave when traveling abroad, we travel abroad for three months to spend the salaries that we have accumulated over the year, and yet still… the Czech, Slovakia, Slovania, Estonia, Romania, Croatia, Venezuela, Guatemala, Honduras, El Selvador, Nicaragua, Serbia, Bosnia, Albania, Peru, and Jamaica have better passports than ours?!

Shame.

I highly doubt that myself buddy.

I also highly doubt that you would know unless you’ve travelled with people from every Arab country in the world. Not only that, but you’ve also travelled with enough people from each country to gather a sizable sample and bless us with your observations?

It’s this smug attitude that people dislike.

I’m not saying that Kuwaitis are bad, or rude when travelling but I’ve seen enough Saudis acting a fool almost every day.

Guess what – no one outside the Gulf knows the difference or cares.

I’ll bless your ignorance with my knowledge…

Kuwaitis travel to have fun and good time, to study, to get medical treatment, and to shop.

If someone ends up in a fight, car accident, or commit a random act of crime… thats life and the world moves on.

Other nationalities, they travel to other countries to stay illegally, they stay and try to take other people jobs, they try to survive on the host country welfare, some get involved in organized crime, prostitution, drugs trafficking and so on.

I can go on and on and on… but lets just say that the statement above applies to most Arab nationals with the exception of Khaleeji people.

You realize you simply speculate? You jump to conclusions. Where are your sources?

It’s evident that with a country like Kuwait or Saudi Arabia the question is security – not overstaying.

No one is trying to justify why Kuwait should be ranked higher than other Arab countries. It clearly is in this survey.

Buddy, I was born and raised in Kuwait. I am a Doctor in the US now. Growing up in Kuwait, I wouldnt be where I am today without the opportunity my parents got in Kuwait. One of my best friends out here in the US is a real Kuwaiti. His mother lost her citizenship for marrying an American (Arab). I like my friend, but his whole family is on welfare and living off the system. He just doesnt seem to want to pick his life up! Again, I am of Indian descent, and work very hard, as do many Indians. Out here though, I get paid what I am worth, and not what my father (who was also a Doctor) in Kuwait got paid. But we are still thankful for having been in Kuwait. I just wish equality existed there, and I am surely proud to be an American. I got here what neither Kuwait or India would have given me.

I dont understa why people always says what our homeland has given us ..have you ever think that you have done for your homeland..in your case answer is nothing ….

Smug attitude?

Generalizing a whole country is not considered smug then huh?

I travel quite a lot actually and I litterally saw the world, not to mention I now study at a foreign country filled with Every arabian country there is, and i can safely assume all of the teachers favor Kuwaiti’s on top of other Arabs due to their nature when it comes to being alone in a foreign country and most of them actually respect the rules.

Yes there is bad and there is good but the good definitely outweigh the bad when it comes to Kuwaiti’s.

And if you have any objections to what I just said, please give valid points, please don’t mix the good genuine Kuwaiti’s with the bad mannered ones.

Kuwaitis are not Saudis.

Most Saudi citizens don’t geographically live in the Gulf region, they live in central Najd and Hejaz which is linguistically most similar to Egypt.

You all seem to generalize about ”GCC” trade bloc organization. There are 18 million Saudi citizens, the majority of which reside in Hejaz and Najd. Saudis don’t speak ”Khaleeji Arabic” – they speak Hejazi Arabic (which is very similar to Egyptian) and Najdi Arabic.

GCC is a trade bloc, they have misused the term ‘Gulf’. All Kuwaitis live in the Gulf region (geographically, physically) whereas 90% of Saudis don’t live in the Gulf region of Saudi Arabia.

If Jordan joins the GCC, will you call Jordan a Gulf country? After all, Jordan is located within some parts of the Arabian Peninsula. Jordan is desperate to join the GCC trade organization because it helps boost their economy.

Most naming is political, it’s not even geographic.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I was under the impression that Kuwait gives financial aid to particularly Muslim countries and/or when mosques need to get built. I regularly see USA, UK, Japan and European countries offer help to countries regardless of religion during natural disaster, but Kuwait’s name is rarely seen.

If possible, can someone provide sources with accurate figures?

do you want me to come to ur home and give a presentation with the figures !!!

google it and you’ll see that kuwait support countries all around the world in crises !! in fact read about the latest Japanese earthquake and how much kuwait donated to them !!

I do believe you should read more regarding those things cuz no one on earth will come to you and present figures and numbers for you just asking !!!

I’ll correct you because you’re wrong.

Kuwait donated to Lousiana after Hurricane Katrina. Like, a lot of money, half a billion dollars, it was the single largest donation to Katrina Relief (On the wikipedia page, can’t be bothered to look up the other sources atm).

They donated a similar amount to Japan
after their tsunami, but in barrels of oil.

Since then they’ve made numerous cash donations and built infrastructure in Japan, recently a hospital for children affected by the Tsunami was built with Kuwaiti donations.

Kuwait donated about a million cash to a Haiti relief fund and 100 tons of humanitarian supplies after the earthquake.

Anyway those are the non-Muslim countries that I remember them sending aid to off the top of my head. They might not get as much press but they’re still there. I actually met someone from Louisiana once who pointed out that they were really grateful to Kuwait and Qatar for all the money they donated, so someone’s aware of it.

thanks, that was very informative and certainly increases my respect for KWI – my true country – which I can never be a citizen of 🙁

There are 20 million Saudis — how do you most of them are shit travelers? Have you met most of them?

Most Kuwaitis are not shit travelers.

3azeez, I realize you have pride in your country and there is nothing wrong with that. However I think what is really important to remember here is that this is about how others see Kuwait or the other countries. So while you may think Kuwaiti people may be well behaved, others don’t share that feeling. Don’t take it personal, as an American I cannot be offended every time someone hates the U.S. I would go crazy if I ever let it get to me. I worry about what some people may think of me personally, and even then only some people.

Kuwaitis have less problems getting visas… true to some level
I applied for a student visa to the US took me 3 months, I have no history in being a part of any extreme groups, yet my friend who is a well known extremist in kuwait and around the world got his U.S visa the same day.
he’s rich, I’m not, in the end it all depends on how much cash you have.
and as for kuwaitis are well mannered… best joke ever, they are not the best nor the worst, always remember this story ” kuwaiti smoked in a non smoking area, police told him not to, he said I AM KUWAITI”

I think family names matters too.

If you have a family name which has a history of having another long relative of being a terrorist, they get axed on and more procedures by US government.

My cousin applied for a visa, he waits for more than three months and misses his semester so he called it quits, the same thing happened to his cousin but he was gonna go back to continue his education in US where he needed to renew his visa or probably forgot to get a new I 20. In the end, not every Kuwaiti is good but what I had seen from seeing some Saudis actions, I got that fizz and wondering till this day if I should have done something.

If I see someone who is carrying something, I’d ask him/her if he/she needed any help.

Yes, because some people been going to Iraq through Kuwait.

Besides, here is something we don’t think much about from a western prespective… Kuwait, is a TINY country wedged between Iran, Iraq and Saudi Arabia. Try to imagine the magnitude of that.
