Go to an indian vegetable shop and buy one for 800 fils!
MP Hamdan Al-Azmi has warned the ministers of Commerce and Interior on the consequences of allowing the celebration of Halloween. He said the markets, shops and commercial complexes have put up Halloween decorations and are advertising scary masks, costumes and candies with strange shapes and forms. He argued that promoting a non-Islamic occasion is a mockery to Islamic culture. Addressing Minister of Commerce and Industry Anas Al-Saleh, Al-Azmi pointed out the ministry is in charge of allowing these products to be sold in the country. He asserted this mockery is unacceptable since it will tarnish the image of the country and the occasion is associated with devil worshipers. He called for the confiscation of all products related to Halloween and to warn shop owners to stop selling such products, in addition to penalizing those who violate the directive. He said this phenomenon will not go unchallenged and the concerned authorities will not go unquestioned. He also stated that the Ministry of Interior’s responsibilities must not stop in protecting the public from physical harm in commercial complexes but it must also protect the Kuwaiti families from harmful ideas or what he termed as ‘cultural invasion’.
