The large UAE based sports chain Sun & Sand Sports will be opening up in Kuwait soon. They have exclusive retail and distributorship rights across the region for over 50 sporting brands including Nike, Timberland, Columbia, Vans, Dunlop, Kettler, The North Face, Icon, Babolat and what I’m looking forward to the most… Under Armour. Their first store is going to be located in Salmiya behind Zahra Complex facing the Gulf Road.

I thought North Face was distributed by Ali Abdul Wahab no?
yeah and so is nike. but Sun & Sand Sports are the regional distributors (From what i understood). As in they supply AAW.

Sun & Sand have been in Kuwait for a while .They own the Timberland franchise in Marina Mall. They never did end setting up the Columbia store here.
Their most successful distribution in the rest of the GCC is Nike,Teva, Columbia …
Hopefully brands like Columbia & Teva will all land here in their new store…. Lets see how good their pricing is. They price well in the UAE .
That’s not a sun and sand store, it’s their timberland store. This will be a sun and sand store selling multiple brands.
Pricey products, cool colors and garments, but S**t post sale customer service, and poor communication with customers. Not to mention their store manager…
Not sure they have exclusivity for “retailing” NIKE across the region, here its done by AAW & Sons, but I’m sure they have distribution agreements and retail exclusivity in some specific markets.

If you click that link you will notice there are only two countries listed in the Gulf, one is Saudi the other is UAE and in both it’s Sand and Sports.
