Last year on this day the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah passed away. Today on the Gulf Road opposite the House of Parliament there is an extremely long condolence letter stretching from a bit after Seef Palace all the way past the House of Parliament. I read on one of the banners that this is the longest condolence letter in the world.
There are a few tents setup and a lot of people are gathered there. Here is a larger picture of part of the condolence letter. [Picture]

alla yer7uma, he was a good leader and loved kuwait and its people
oh hahahaha another useless thing to come out of kuwait. really do ppl here just not have an ounce of taste?
the guy is dead show some fucking respect and don’t turn it into a world records circus. i saw fucking fireworks tonight coming down 2nd ring road, are ppl CELEBRATING his death or something, fucking sick.
RIP baba jaaberrr
god bless him .
these people have no lives! don’t you have something better to do better than remembering the dead in this way which is “haram” by the way. some people here are dying everyday to look for something to do even if it’s useless , i suggest going to the cemetery and pray on his grave better than this useless propaganda , god bless his soul.
I wonder how the UAE marked the 1 yr anniversary of the death of Sheikh Zayed, considering that he was probably adored by the Emiratis even more so than Sheikh Jaber and the Kuwaitis.
It’s sad that remembering the dead is haram… If it’s done respectfully I don’t know why a loved one can’t be thought of, even if they’re not around any more.
Im sorry, but how can you for one moment say that the emaritis loved sheikh zayed more than the kuwaiti’s love their own emir, i have to jump and stop myself from saying that no one loves shk jaber more than kuwaitis loved him. Not only kuwaitis, but the whole world…and his loss was resounded near and far, for what reason and under what assumption can you base that idea.
Regardless; i will say that all countries love their ruler and their father figure be it baba jaber or baba zayed. We should stand back and pay that much respect for our neighbours, and that much respect amongst ourselves.
it would be wrong for me or anyone else to turn the death of any of our leaders into a popularity contest of any sort.
