the reporter was saying “hathey qublat el wada3 ya kalb” right?
man what a slow response from the secret service
Do you guys really think Secret Service people in reality are like what you see in movies and TV shows !
There are no 007’s in real life, it’s just the overreacted American propaganda machine to make the American people and rest of world believe in their superiority.
Nothing beats the KGB still 😛
“The soles of shoes are considered the ultimate insult in Arab culture.”
hahahaha!!
What a great warm welcoming he got from the Iraqi people 🙂
Hilarious!!!!!!! i wonder what will happen to that guy ……… and why he did it
A very close look at the guy who throw his shoes on the prisdent of the United States of America !! ROFL

terrible response time.
its a shame he didn’t get him on tv face.. That would have been amazing. Let’s wait for jay Leno’s response.. Lol
right after he said “Shukra Juzeera”, what a douchebag !
LOL, while throwing his shoes he says “hathy goblat al wada3”
“this is your goodbye kiss”, classic, what a way to go out !
Epic ;D
And how exactly can you miss twice? He should have taken his time and aimed =< He had plenty of time to do that looking at the reaction time -.-
Maasri Hospitality?
he should of took a dump on him, 2bad he missed
Surprise Visit gets Surprise Receipt!
Now wait for a story that narrates this journalist is an active member of Alqaida or whatever trained for this terrorist attack in Pakistan and he was planning and practicing it for last 6 months or so and those shoes are full of atomic bomb which were defused through mobile phone jammer etc etc… haha ahaha
Someone should try that again, in Afghanistan when he reaches next… This time he should take his time…fake the first throw and then let him have it.. cause lets face it, it would have been a much funnier video if he had been actually hit !
Yep, that’s what they are good for, throwing shoes and dancing. When it comes to the real deal everyone runs away. What is more pathetic is that most are happy and think of it as a victory while in reality more Iraqis are killed by terrorists. Freedom won’t come knocking on your door.
Excellent work done. This might have done well before the invation of Iraq and should happen next time in UN session.
at the start of his presidency in U.S. when they invaded iraq for so called weapons of mass destruction (which no one could find in Iraq), Iraq was ok i mean in terms of iraqi civilians. it was not KOS like now but after they leave so many are wounded, killed, made widows & orphans. Iraq is bleeding so what good have they brought to Iraq! it was all orchestrated! using the lame excuses of terrorists, saddam hussain etc. again and again. there were no terrorists in Iraq before they came.
U.S. government is the biggest terror in the world! while they remain in power for world affairs, things like these will keep on erupting. it is just their psyche of operating the world!
He’s got moves 😉 fast reaction.
Am I the only one who feels sorry for the poor bastard ? ;p
This reminds me of when Jean Chretien, Canada’s Ex PM got a Pie in his face 🙂
By the way…if this was done to any of our Arab leaders, the guy would have been shot dead on the spot 😛
Long live democracy 🙂
That was a nice goodbye gift…..but he should have shoved it up his ass, hope he gets nightmares of that shoe for the rest of his life.
Whatever me his personal view of bush, he was there as a reporter, and his actions have tarnished the image of all the reporters and his channel.
I hate when idiots do things like this and then the others suffer
Kido,
Forget about reporter, his channel and his image and his channel’s. History of iraq has been changed while we all have been watching news and reading papers. Just ’cause of U.S.’s opportunistic motives and Muslim world’s gross negligence and disunity.
Hot of the press……… New White House security measures in place after the incident now require all members of the Press Corp to remove their foot wear prior to entering an area where a press confrence will be held ;to avoid any future incidents of a similar nature occuring again. Also Secret Service is to implement a real time training scenario’s for all it agaents especially those on presidential detail. Training will now include simulated press confrences with live shoes being thrown at the package.aka the person they are protecting.to improve response time.
Comment from the Secret Service ” Its a changing world .Its not just guns and bombs any more we have to learn to adapt with the changes in the world. We know that the terrorists are. So are we ”
Comment from GWB ” WTF?? ”
LOL 🙂
Oh yeah as for the Secret Service Agent with the late response time ???
He has been permenatly being put out to pasture and been reassigned tp protect Barbra Bush . Who would want to throw a shoe at her any way ?
🙂
Al Malki tries to protect Bush while he ducks! So funny! I wonder if the reporter got his shoes back? lol
No according to latest reports the shoes have been taken into evidence and for forensic examination to check if they could possibly be the WMD that Bush was so desperate to find 8 years ago 🙂
I heard about it on the radio this morning, but they said it was in afghanistan, wtf…
Anyways, I knew I’d find a video of it as soon as I got my hands on a computer 😀
Wow that was a good dodge btw 😛
im sure the reporter wouldnt have done it if Bush had another term to serve. Its easier to take such risks with the outgoing president so no one would care anyway.
He just wanted to exchange his worn out shoes!! Poor guy is being framed
That’s vulgarity on international scale. The reporter should be banned from journalism and any public or government positions for life. I don’t care if you like
Bush or not, I believe this act is a reflection on the society’s manners.
Mosan
i will see what you will do when dozens of your aunts and uncles and brothers and sisters are killed for a stupid “artificial” terrorist reasons
he should have practiced his aim more… Should have nailed that son of a b17ch in the face. That was the best chance…
looks like bush’s reaction to the shoe was quicker than reaction to 9/11.
LOL
LMAO @ Security adviser!!
Wow this just makes Bush look like a total ninja badass. +1 for America’s image thanks to another stupid sandnigger.
LMAO !!!! its official … Bush is one hell of a ducker xD
I wonder what will happpend to him if he was throwing it to saddam husain ..
I dont know if I should feel sorry or not for bush .. but I am wondering what would Leno , O`brain , Letterman , Daily Show and Colbert Report would be there respond .
Lots of work are waiting for Obama to do .. Can`t wait !
It doesnt matter if its bush or anyone, you should show respect as a journalist.
LOL! I’m impressed how he managed to dodge the first shoe.
Poor Bush…
Bush is one badass mutherf$@^&. He ducked those shoes like they were nothing and then stood there like, is that all you got. This guy is not Iraqi, he is Egyptian and one of the producers from his station was killed in Iraq. Mark my words, we will miss Bush, I do already.
Oh, those ungrateful Iraqis, who for some reason don’t like it when you invade and occupy their country, and who get particuarly testy when you kill their family members (ingrates!)…why they throw shoes at sweet innocent little George?

BREAKING NEWS
The brand of the pair of shoes that were thrown at president bush appeared to be Dolce and Gabbana, The American goverment decided to boycott all D&G products because reports say that they specially made the pair that was thrown, with sharp heels and a piece of metal was inserted at the tip of the shoes. The reporter was’nt wearing the shoes, he had his own on when he was arrested.

Q80 BOY
Baghdad
that secret service guy looks like
he just woke up
needs a shave ,
had too much booze on Air Force 1,
needs to iron his clothes, straighten his tie,
needs a haircut badly
he needs to retire and FAST
he’s in NO WAY COMPETENT TO GUARD THE US PRESIDENT…..
he’s already collected his last paycheck
Was it a Vivienne Westwood,a Christian Louvitton?
MY SHOES ARE READY TOO =P
@ Mr.pedro
you’re a classic dumbass my friend….fuckin classic. It;s people like you that bastardize everything in the world.
*on a side note, the shoe never touched the Iraqi flag….you dumbass!
eh… whatever
Shit man… now they are going to ban shoes in airports and on all flights to US 🙂
A shoe does not insult Americans.. Remember when they sit .. they put one foot up having the shoe in your face and that is OK for them and it is an insult for us! But throwing a shoe in their face is a different story!
Also calling him a Dog is very acceptable “Yo my Dog How ya doin!”
Nevertheless, I loved the courage of the journalist .. Thumb up.
Arabs are setting a new record .. it was an Arabic shoe that was ever thrown in the face of U.S president!
who said we are not creative!
Am I the only one that thinks what that guy did was so uncalled for?
Granted, Bush hasn’t been the best president, but to throw a shoe at him? WTF. It’s just plain rude and wrong.
I know I’m probably in the minority…since a lot of these commentators actually find what he did funny. Maybe I’m just way to much of a “aww 7araaaaaaaaam” kind of person. Heck, I always get made fun of for being TOOOO much of a wuss, in that sense lol.
oh btw haha I’m a girl! lol superman, is just my online nickname!!
i love you iraqi journalist al-Zaidi, you are real hero of the world, Allah Bless you…. every muslims look and try every american terorest…
Nothing to be proud of…Bush deserves alot of bad things..but the fact that the Journalist threw a shoe just shows how uncivilized he is…SAD to see SOME arabs GOING BACKWARD everyday..
wtf! Throwing a show symbolizes the fact that Arabs are backward people? What does that have to do with anything that deals with civilization anyway? An insult is an insult! I never heard of a “civilized” insult.
Plus, you really have to listen to what the guy said when he was on the floor to understand why his frustration led him to do that.
You think the American pressence will make things any better in Iraq? Its a fuckin invasion for crying out loud and its been legitimized by the Iraqi government for 3 more years!
you know, I’d bet all of my chips that this journalist was sent by someone really powerful from within the Iraqi government and has his immunity. Or maybe even Moqtada elSadr….wouldn’t be surprised.
this would explain WHY the journalist threw his shoes….in his brother’s words:
https://edition.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/meast/12/15/shoe.reporter.profile/index.html
Oh yeah sure………..and the rest of the countries in the world are just perfect!! Those of you here to bash the USA need to get a life and look yourselves in the mirror!!
“a farewill kiss” you “Dog”
classic stuff looks like straight from God Father Trilogy
LOL!
If you guys noticed the journalist throuh his shoes the minute bush said ” SHUKRAN JAZILLAN ” and i noticed was saying it and lafing so now you know what is all this about !!!
Shukran Jazeelan.
(Audience interruption.)
PRESIDENT BUSH: Okay, everybody calm down for a minute. First of all thank you for apologizing on behalf of the Iraqi people. It doesn’t bother me. And if you want some — if you want the facts, it’s a size 10 shoe that he threw. (Laughter.) Thank you for your concern, do not worry about it.
Q (As translated.) A question, Mr. Prime Minister and others, you all talked about the various gains that will come as a result of signing this agreement. But just quickly I have one question about the withdrawal of American forces. Is this going to be an accelerated process that will happen quickly and perhaps prematurely?
PRESIDENT BUSH: First of all, we’re here at the Iraqi — at the request of the Iraqi government. It’s an elected government. There are certain benchmarks that will be met — such as troops out of the cities by June of ’09. And then there’s a benchmark at the end of the agreement.
As to the pace of meeting those agreements, that will depend of course upon the Iraqi government, the recommendations of the Iraqi military, and the close coordination between General Odierno and our military.
These are very important agreements. And the government of Iraq worked very hard to get them through the parliament.
Jennifer.
Q (Inaudible.)
PRESIDENT BUSH: So what if a guy threw a shoe at me?
Q But you are also very (inaudible) about progress — (inaudible). Do you consider this a victory lap?
PRESIDENT BUSH: No, I consider it a important step in — on the road toward an Iraq that can sustain itself, govern itself and defend itself.
But let me talk about the guy throwing the shoe. It is one way to gain attention. It’s like going to a political rally and having people yell at you. It’s like driving down the street and have people not gesturing with all five fingers. It’s a way for people to, you know, draw — I don’t know what the guy’s cause is. But one thing is for certain — he caused you to ask me a question about it. I didn’t feel the least bit threatened by it. These journalists here were very apologetic, they were — said, this doesn’t represent the Iraqi people. But that’s what happens in free societies, where people try to draw attention to themselves. And so I guess he was effected, because he caused you to say something about it.
In response to mr.pedro
none of the shoes hit the iraqi flag (that says “allahu akbar”). in fact, the first shoe only hit the ground. and the second shoe hit the American flag !!
fresh off the news @ BBC that
The journalist has got beaten badly broken ribs, bleeding etc.
Shame for Sold out Iraqi government
they want to do the same what kuwaiti government did
calling Bush as Abu Abdullah in mid 1990s and telling all locals that he and american government saved the country for you
Everywhere hypocrites!
Crap!!!!
It’s ridiculous some people are commending the fool who threw the shoe at Bush (Still the President of the United States of America!) as thought that fool is a hero. He is a coward who wouldn’t even have dared to write a single bad word against Saddam when Saddam was the president. Now all of a sudden he has guts? He did it only because Bush and the Americans are all for democracy and easily forgive such incidents. Shame on all the people defending this foolish act. I could argue till the cows come home with the fools who think Iraqis were better off before the war. it’s the sunnis and shiites who are killing each other. If only people were educated…
@ 46 Well Said… it reflects on the society as a whole on their manners!
@48 You really need to get a reality check! Or wait… perhaps you arent Kuwaiti. Damn right – you are not Kuwaiti… you are the section of Arabs who justified every action of Saddam Hussein when he plundered this beautiful land. You are the section of Arabs who secretly plan against the interest of Kuwait but on the face beg for Kuwaiti Aid. You are a section of Arabs who despise Kuwait; yet live, work, eat and breathe in Kuwait. Who are you calling a HYPOCRITE Sir?
Drats… see what happens when people anger me with their ‘off their top comments’. Sorry 48, I wanted and still want to vent it out on 47 and 78 – MK.
I read in Al Seyassah Newspaper today that some Saudi rich guy is willing to pay 1m$ dollars for the shoe! Now that’s funny!
TweeZ : Dealing with situations HAS alot to do with CIVILIZATION…u think a person who negotiates is the same as a person who throws a shoe..GOOD Luck to you….This is the way your gonna handle ur problems…just don’t be upset if people don’t find u credible anymore..
Yea, throwing shoes at Presidents at televised events really makes us Arabs look so wonderful in the rest of the worlds eyes, and yes it does matter how we are perceived.
President Bush probably deserves alot worse, then having shoes thrown at him, however there are better ways to handle things then the way that journalist acted. And i’m sorry, but that journalist is kinda of dumb, because I knew the second I read about this that he was going to get in big trouble. Was throwing his shoes worth endangering his life, and possibly his families? The only point he proved is that he’s ignorant.
nyx,
please read the history of muslim nations! there has never been a case when a western country came in the middle and tried to resolve problems among muslim fellows. i mean to say our levels are dropped to a very low level that we need america or some other western country to resolve our problems. it is not the case of commending his act or not there are so many people who let off their anger in various ways. check up on videos of fighting between civilised member of parliaments of china, russia, india, south korea etc. where there has been all kinds of fighting among themselves.
the point is let me give you an example:
there are four brothers who fight with each other, patch up with each other and then love each other, the cycle goes on while evrything stays within the family. now, a fourth person from outside who deliberately intervenes and selects one or two out of them, favors them, trades with them, acknowledges them while ignoring the rest and in many cases slowly destroys them then
what is the end result?
you are better to decide.
that is what has been happening to muslim nations since the west has taken command of world affairs and again i will mention that first its our muslims’ fault.
mk
no need to see ,the iraqies already did that to the q8i people … how easy we forget …
and I still believe its valguar
he is journlist he can deal with it in another way
@ A.f
….huh?….
sheesh dont u get it !!!!! to th americans we are terrorists… seruisly after 9/11 !!!!!!!! we have to kill bin laden for doin this !!!!!!
We salute the courage and conviction which the young man has. It’s a shame Donald Dumbsfeld too was not on the podium with the Cactus, err…the Bush.
Courage? Throwing a shoe is a courageous act? Ludicrous..
