Last night I was invited to a food tasting at a cute little Argentinian restaurant thats opening soon called La Brasa. The restaurant is owned by the popular local photographer Gustavo Ferrari who’s been living in and documenting Kuwait for 38 years now. He was always known for holding amazing barbecues so he finally decided to open up his own place. All the meat is imported straight from Argentina and I got try a whole bunch last night (it was delicious). The restaurant is located in the basement of Dar Al Awadi in Kuwait City and the opening is in around 2 to 4 weeks. I’ll post another update once it’s open.

Buddy I think you spelled the name wrong, it’s La Brasa not Barsa.
yeah just fixed it
is the meat halal??
You can’t import meat to Kuwait if it isn’t Halal.
Actually you can

Can what? Export Halal products? Cuz the link you shared says it needs to be Halal:
“The exporter must obtain a Certificate of Islamic Slaughter from a member of an Islamic Center or Islamic organization. A certificate of Islamic (Halal) Slaughter is a certificate issued by a member of a Muslim organization recognized by the importing country to provide this service; the certificate states that animals were slaughtered according to Muslim religious requirements. This certificate must accompany products labeled “Halal”. The certificate must be endorsed by the Kuwait Embassy or Consulate (or any other Arab Embassy or Consulate in the absence of the Kuwait Embassy or Consulate)”
Wat kind of question is this.. Get a life man
So you don’t care if what you’re eating is halal or not? “get a life man”
ain’t nobody got time for dat !
I had dinner the other day there as well, everything was delicious. The decorations were great, but I really like the place mats (All leather). By the time we got done going through all the meats he was serving up, I was STUFFED!!! Dessert was a bit too sweet for me, but the wife loved it. I’d have it again but with less caramel topping.
Can’t wait to go back again that’s for sure!
Is this the same restaurant that has a branch in Dammam/Khobar Saudi Arabia and serves different sorts of grilled meats from Chicken, Rabbit, Turkey, Quails and the likes one after another?
I’ve heard great reviews about it then!
No man, this place sounds like a one-of-a-kind joint.Besides Argentinians don’t eat a whole lot of rabbit & quails. That’s more of a Brazilian thing.
Hey Mark, how were the empanadas? 😉
hmmm who is this?
Delicious beef and chicken halal meats……nowhere better..plus a cozy atmosphere, and “mate” tea direct from Argentina……try it soon…you will enjoy it
Gustavo is the king of BBQ only figures that the food is fabulous.
Dar Al Awadi? Where is this in Kuwait city? Behind the Catholic Church?
My bad… never friggin’ mind… I found it.
