I don’t know why I have this obsession with cheap HDMI cables. The last time I found a good deal was at Ace Hardware. They were selling the 2 meter HDMI cable for KD2.100 and the 3 meter for KD2.600. Since then they completely sold out of all their cheap HDMI cables and just have the expensive ones left. So the cheapest HDMI cable I have found recently is at Geant. They’re selling the 1.5 meter long cable for KD2.500.

I need to hire an editor for my blog!
just fixed it
I bought a 15 ft no brand HDMI cable from Amazon last year and I think it cost something like $15.95 (now they cost half that amount). I bought two of them and a coupler for my HD projector. They work like a charm. A similar setup from Kuwait would probably cost 120 KD minimum.
Cool is it Ver 1.3a ?
Mark, the link is broken.
Monster o bs.
i got like 6 Monster M1000 cables from eBay for like 150$ well worth the $$
So, how does this work Mark, you talk about some store / product and they contract with you? I just can’t seem to get it… Its like you’re the “go to” guy for a boost for any business that’s……going out of business!!..
But hey!.. whatever floats your boat man!
T: you’re an idiot
wow that above comment (#8) was pretty weird.. I dont get if it’s a diss or a compliment.. I would take it as the latter..
Don’t waste you money, DisplayPort will be the Tech 1 year from now..
Bye Bye HDMI
They are already in The New ATI Cards
Mesh: So what you’re saying is don’t pay KD2.500 and instead get a new tv with displayport next year?
hmmm, maybe my comment was more suitable for #7 π
still using DVI (Computer and Only Computer Entertainment System)
which has a blueray and skystar PCI receiver, don’t need more than that !
Actually, I think you have an obsession with opening new packages / boxes, tell me i’m not right?
lol maybe
I think i found HDMI Cables at Lulu Hypermarket even more cheaper ..
Lulu Hypermarket: KD3.950 for 1.5m
Just bought 5m HDMI cable for Carrefour for 2.95 KD last week !!!
SBOSE???LOL…How original..lazy bums..
Pathetic. Come on people, buying a KD 2 or KD 3 cable that degrades the signal of a KD 1,000 or KD 2,000 LCD or Amplifier is similar to having your Porsche/Ferrari fitted with GT Tyres (For those who did not know, they are Malaysian tyres sold at Sharq)
indiancurry: Monster Cable would like to thank you for being so naive. It’s because of people like you they’re still in business π
Here is a comparison between high end and low end HDMI cables

None of our editors could tell the difference. The fact is, HDMI is digital, meaning you either get the feed or you donβt. High prices and gimmicks like gold-plating donβt affect 1s and 0s. Our advice: Purchase your wiring online for cheap, and use the saved money to upgrade to a larger flat screen.β
Get it? There is no such thing as a degraded digital signal… you either get the signal or you don’t.
Mark, sorry to burst your bubble, my audio collection at home consists of a Luxman turntable, Sansui amplifier, Denon CD player, Infinity Renaissance 80 speakers which are connected with a Kimber cable which I picked up in Australia for the price of a normal TV in Kuwait. My HT includes a Grundig Xentia TV, Paradigm Front, Center & Rear Speakers, AR subwoofer, Denon subwoofer all of which are connected with a quality unbranded audio cable. So please do not think of me to be naive about Monster cable which I have never bought in my life.
You assume erroneously that for digital signals, either the cable works or not. Sometimes however the 1s and 0s aren’t all there because of signal degradation due to inferior cable construction. The signal will degrade gracefully to a point and then it will break up. Music and video is not like data. Digital signal processors can work with a degraded signal and deliver less than perfect sound and pictures.
You can never improve a digital signal by using an expensive cable but you can certainly degrade a signal using an inferior cable. You can google about this as I cannot send you just one link to prove my point.
indiancurry you say you aren’t naive yet you think you can degrade a digital signal by using cheap HDMI cable.
You can’t degrade a digital signal. The 1’s and 0’s either get there or they don’t. If they don’t then you don’t have a picture, if they do then you have a picture. It’s black and white (not literally)
Now if you can backup your claim with a source that would be great. If you can’t then I would recommend you stop spreading inaccurate information that might mislead my readers.
Oops, sorry about your contention of misleading your readers, I thought everyone is pretty informed these days. You did not read my post clearly so here are the links. Then again there are always for & against views as none of the experts agree.

On the first link by Blue Jeans Cable, please read point 4 as you seem to have inaccurate information about the binary system in digital signals.

The last one is to make you smile, as I had said earlier that everyone has different opinions π

read till the end..
So I guess everyone agrees that with a 1.5m cable it doesn’t matter if its cheap or expensive but with long cables it does.
Still nobody knows what is the version of these cheap HDMI cables ? or nobody care at all for the cable version ok got the answer π
Chill guys! Geant is a cool supermarket:p
