Although rumors were originally pointing towards St. Regis and Four Points Hotel opening up at The Avenues Phase 4, it now looks like it’s going to be Conrad Hotel and Hilton Garden Inn (official announcement should be released soon).
I was actually hoping St. Regis would open up since I was really impressed with the one in Doha but Conrad should be nice and fancy as well. On the other hand, Hilton Garden Inn reminds me of those soulless hotels near airports.
The Avenues Phase 4 is expected to launch first quarter of 2018.

Real shame they decided to go with Hilton Worldwide – they’re fading in comparison to other major competitors. Now that Starwood is going to Marriott, it would’ve been great to see Mabanee/Alshaya go with what will be the world’s largest hotel group. They could put anything from a Ritz-Carlton and Edition to a St Regis or Westin as the five-star hotel while Courtyard, Moxy, Aloft or Element could’ve gone in as the four.
Meh. Yay for the Conrad, I guess… Not so much for the HGI.
That’s a very strange choice given Al-Shaya’s long and successful relationship with the Starwood group

Part of Phase 4 called “The Cinema.” Self-explanatory stuff, really, but not sure why those spheres are about or how well they mesh with the rest of the structure…

I don’t know much about hotels.
I just hope they try to eliminate some traffic when going in and out.
name brand choices arent what were expected.
however hilton garden inn sounds like a good economic choice for visitors that prefer a cheaper option. (re: regional tourists)
