Ahmadi Houses 1961-1963

I came across these photos years ago but when I searched the blog I realized I had only shared a couple of them. Below are some photos of a home taken by a family who used to live in Ahmadi back in the early 60s.

im interested in making similar design for ahmadi houses in my land

Beautiful post by admin.I remember by childhood when i used to go to ahmadi to play cricket … i always felt im somewhere in england’s countryside.Diffrent feeling and envirement and its still same .. i like the place.

I feel so blessed to have lived 28 years of my life in the most wonderful place in Kuwait.

Trees, pets, sports, activities, and did I mention the trees.

Gosh .. I love Ahmadi <3

Lovely memories. We grew up in one. A whole 17years 80s and 90s Best childhood memories in the garden with animals (we had a zoo!) and the neighbourhood was so close and connected.

The house shown was known as a KS 3..for Kuwait Staff of the Oil Company…they were very comfortable to live in…It was strange as the company supplied the furniture and crockery etc…so when you visited others it was very similar to your own home…

When my father worked for KOC my mother didn’t like the Ahmadi houses so we lived in a complex in Fintas. I remember feeling envious of my friends who lived there πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ

My parents lived in one of those houses and liked it. One especially clever aspect in design was the central air-condition plant that distributed chilled brine to the houses. There was no noise from a compressor, and you barely heard the fan. A superior set-up.
