Influencer Stuffs Dog in Trunk of Car then Shares Picture of his Dog Dead

I wasn’t planning to post about this because:

a) Nothing is going to be done about it
b) A lot of people will probably think there isn’t anything wrong with this

But, I’m being bombarded by people on instagram to write about this so clearly, a lot of you do think what he did was wrong.

Last night a video and photo started making their rounds on social media showing a local influencer unlocking the trunk of his car revealing his Chow Chow dog inside. The video is also accompanied by a photo taken I’m assuming on a different day of the same dog dead in the bottom of a pool with the caption that he committed suicide. Stuffing a Chow Chow in the trunk of your car in this heat is obvious abuse and sharing a picture of your dog dead is just tasteless. What makes this situation critical is that he has nearly 700,000 followers. When his followers see that he stuffs his dog in trunk, they might think that’s something normal to do (which it’s not).

Update: I’m curious to see if there will be any repercussion from his advertisers. If something like this took place in the States, his advertisers would drop him. So I’d be interested to see if any of his current advertisers like Kuwait International Bank (KIB) will distance themselves from him.

Absolutely disgusting! As someone who has pet dogs and is an animal lover I detest the stupid, irresponsible and immature behavior of this so-called influencer.

His followers are equally dumb or are least bothered by his antics. Douchebag!

RIP poor doggy!

This is heartbreaking and absolutely terrible. It’s a shame someone like that has such a large platform.

There is a lot of outrage about this incident, and that is great. Lots of animal lovers coming out and condemning this, which is awesome. But to all the “animal lovers” who see this, let me ask: What’d you have for dinner last night? What makes the animal that was enslaved and butchered for your benefit any different than this dog that was killed? All living creatures feel pain. All living creature want to live. We shouldn’t kill the things we supposedly love, and there is no such thing as humane slaughter. Think about going vegan. For your health, for the planet, for the animals.

What we choose to eat is none of anyone’s business. If you feel killing of all animals is bad and going vegan gives you a sense of accomplishment then good for you. Please don’t address your agenda of Veganism here. No wonder you guys are hated so much.

That being said this man needs to be put behind bars. Just because he’s responsible for the life of an animal doesn’t make him better than someone killing another human being.

If you hate vegans so much, why don’t you just ignore them like you ignore animal suffering, deforestation, and the global warming and pollution caused by animal agriculture? What you choose to eat is the world’s business – the choices you make when it comes to food have real consequences for everyone else on this planet. Why should your food choices make our world a worse place to live in?

I’m not trying to be facetious, and I’m not trying to argue with you, but maybe if you think about it for just a second, you can see how people who advocate a plant-based diet are trying to change the world for the better. Look into how much energy and water is required to produce just 1 pound of beef, and compare that same figure to 1 pound of any given vegetable, fruit, or legume. I understand where you’re coming from though. I wasn’t born a vegan, but I have arrived at this point after careful consideration of all the facts and hypocrisy I was living…

As a parting note, I’d like to ask you to just consider your last two sentences. You say that man should be behind bars for killing an animal. What about the cow that was slaughtered so that you could have a cheeseburger? Or the lamb? Or the chickens? Or the baby calves ripped away from their mothers so that you can drink cow milk (which if you really sit down and think about… Is gross). Are all those animals somehow lesser?

What if someone said you should be behind bars for all the animals whose deaths you are responsible for? Do you think a cow doesn’t want to live as much as a dog? They are intelligent creatures, yet we treat them as a commodity while we place dogs on a pedestal. Why? Now, I doubt I have convinced you to go plant-based, but at the very least, perhaps you can now begin to see how strange it sounds to advocate putting someone behind bars for killing a dog, but not batting an eyelid when it comes to the systematic torture and killing of millions of other animals everyday.

You say him killing an animal “doesn’t make him better than someone killing another human being.” Think about that the next time you are at the butcher.

How did this end up being a conversation about going vegan or not? Nothing against vegans, pescatarians, vegetarians, and so on; that is a personal choice!
The issue at hand is for no reason whatsoever, not for food, not for warmth, not for anything, some living being committed psychotic behavior by getting his dog to “commit suicide” and ended up laughing about it and flaunting it around social media not caring about how the dog was also a living being with a soul. He actually also questioned (translated) what the big deal was about, it wasn’t as if Zuaiter’s family was gonna come and hold him against what had happened! (Zuaiter was the dog’s name, RIP)
Lets stay focused and try to think what kind of man this person had become,, and why such a man is allowed social media privileges and a follower tribe of 700,000 + people! Let’s all stay focused and try to get him to understand the significance of his actions, and the repercussions that can come because of such actions!

Well, you just contradicted yourself, does that mean the people who kill chickens , cows, pigs should go to jail too? Aren’t they “responsible for the life of an animal” too.

But it’s okay when wild animals eat other animals? Why can’t those animals go vegan too? Oh! Because they can’t! Keep your vegan propaganda to yourself.

Vegan propaganda? Vegans have absolutely nothing to gain if you go vegan, aside from maybe a cleaner and more compassionate world. The meat industry, however has about $850 billion dollars on the line. So where is the propaganda truly coming from?

Don’t you know that plants feel pain too? Just because you can’t hear their cry, doesn’t mean they don’t suffer when you cut them down. Please refrain from eating any fruits & vegetables.

Outrageous. When will relevant authorities in this country do something about animal cruelty? When we will start seeing real punishments money/prison being handed to all this so called “people” that have no respect for life in any other form then themselves?
In the mean time can someones shove this “influencer” in a car trunk for few hours and park it in the sun? Idiot.

This reminds me of that other Kuwaiti guy who ate the live rabbit, which became a memory and nothing was done about it. When are people going to realize that these “influencers” are nothing but shallow egotistical people who contribute nothing useful to society. I don’t see any of them doing charitable acts, to see that poor dog at the bottom of the pool followed by a cold hearten video of him showing no remorse is sickening. But sadly it will be forgotten, Friday Market will continue and animals will suffer.

I agree with you on the fact that nothing is being done by the authorities about animal abuse/cruelty; and what 3bodka has done is totally wrong. That being said, we should not deny that he contributed MAJORLY for a lot of charities, he helped the handicapped, blood banks, bdoun (non nationals), and even made an event to collect trash left on the beaches of Kuwait. He has honestly raised a lot of awareness on many subjects, and people actually listened. In this case unfortunately, and many people like him are not educated properly on what/what not to do when it comes to animals. Thankfully people have spoken up on social media, and he just like all of us is a Human being, we all make mistakes. He has realized what he did was wrong and even admitted that he was given “bad advice” from one of his friends that it was okay to leave a dog outside in the sun. Not everyone has the ability to think for themselves, some just follow crowd. I blame the government, parents and so called “Scholars” for not educating people properly. No where in the Quran does Allah the most Merciful say to ill treat animals, or that it’s “Haram” to keep a dog in your house, or that angels don’t enter a house if there is a dog, actually it’s the complete opposite! For example Surat Al Kahaf ( People of the Cave) a dog was mentioned to have slept with the people of the cave for 300 years! But as I said, people like to follow the crowd, and not think for themselves. I hope that this is a chance for change.

I agree with you that animal cruelty is not being taken care of here and what 3bodka has done is totally not okay and consequences have to be made. That being said I don’t know if you know this, but this influencer is one of the few if any, that has actually contributed to charity, blood banks, helping the handicapped, and even made an event that made people clean up the beaches of Kuwait. Remember we ALL make mistakes even big ones like this, but it’s very important to understand (this is directed to anyone reading this) that advice has to be given in the most sincere and respectful manner, even if we are dealing with “assholes” or “fools”, so that they can understand.

The amount if animal abuse in this country or ME in general is staggering, take for ex the sheep transported from Australia to Q8 in cargo ships. Google it and you will not eat sheep’s again.

Dogs in Kuwait is not considered worthy, if it was a falken ohhh boy the story would be have been different.

Stupid enough, this guy might increase his followers because of it.

Is it really staggering? Or is it so rare and abnormal that whenever an incident happen people are shocked and become vocal loud enough that they become heard across the globe?!

Disgusting treatment towards an animal. A beautiful dog such as a chow chow shouldn’t even be legal to own in Kuwait in this miserable weather, let alone in a country where sadly a lot of citizens dont respect animal rights. And I agree with the comments, it is indeed a shame that someone like that has a large following and promotes such dumb behavior.

There are unfortunately very few Animal Protection Societies in Kuwait. I think the best one out there now is @raf.kw. They save, treat, and care for animals and do a genuinely great job. They need more recognition and support for what they do.

kuwait is just too backwards to have any progressive views, let alone any laws on the books to deal with people who abuse animals like this. it is sadly an aspect of Islamic society that is repugnant.

What about the killing of whales in Denmark, bulls in Spain and dolphins in Japan ? Is that an aspect of Christianity as well?

Actually Tom, the Quran talks about mercy to animals and all the creations of Allah. Dogs are mentioned several times, in a positive light like the Chapter of the Cave where Allah mentions how the people of the cave where made to sleep for 300 years and their dog was with them. The truth is this is not an Islamic society, rather a society who BELIEVES it’s islamic. Because of these “Scholars” coming up with their own fabricated “narrations” of the prophet, people have actually taken it to be true, even if it contradicts the Quran. Unfortunately many people don’t follow Allah properly, narrations and folklores are taken besides Allah’s book. Even though Allah promised to preserve the QURAN only, not anything else like these so called “authentic narrations”.

if there is any decency left in Kuwait, this person should be arrested by the police, and if not charged with animal abuse- the least questioned about this awful incident.

There are animal cruelty laws in Kuwait, but the proving that he did something to the dog will be hard. I think the best way is to pressure his advertisers into dropping him.

I’ve seen you ask this question in response to everyone angered at the influencer in his comments section.

I wish you’d stop defending this abuser and understand that NEGLIGENCE is also abuse, whether it’s this dog, the other animals he forces to swim, and the ape he gave a pack of cigarettes to to smoke. He owns a plethora of exotic animals, which is also illegal. I doubt he provides them with the correct environment they need to survive.

I have had dogs all my life, and there have been instances where I’d put them in the car and turn on the AC for them when the electricity goes off in my area. We make sure they’re hydrated always, around people always and not left to their own devices. Animals, as smart as they are, are voiceless. That Chow Chow should have been indoors, regardless of whether this influencer was out to dinner or on another planet. There is no excuse.

Please, spare us your futile attempts to defend this monster. Those saying he does so much for the poor etc. don’t understand that the mistreatment of an animal (in Islam) can negate your good deeds.

So instead of asking people “how did the dog die?” or “what kind of car was he driving?”, look deep inside yourself and ask YOURSELF: why are you so hung up on defending a person who is so negligent and mean to animals? Do you think his behavior and treatment towards animals is okay? Where is your conscience?

The picture shows the dog drowned in the pool at the ya5oor. Whether he tried to get the dog to swim, or if the dog was unsupervised and jumped in – all signs lead to negligence.

That was the whole point of my question (before you went nuts and thought I was defending him).

I doubt a dog would jump into a pool and not be able to save himself. Dogs don’t commit suicide either (well they do, but by stopping eating). Normally dogs can swim well enough to get back out of a pool. I think he was thrown in (possibly after dying in the hot trunk).

I recommend doing what I did just report this heartless animal to animal rights organization I already sent PETA a message about this and I would recommend doing the same too the more we talk about it the more they will care about it and the sooner we send this defected human behind bars.

Just checked his page. He took down the post and if he had 700K+ followers before, he now has 691K. May not seem like a substantial loss of followers, but it feels good to know compassion is alive in some people, and they aren’t condoning his barbaric behavior.

Inhumane treatment of animals is a universal epidemic, sadly, and not limited to Kuwait. Though as a country which is ruled by the teachings of Islam, it’s puzzling how a direct order from God can be ignored for so long.

God commands us to be kind towards animals and reminds us that HE created them as colonies, just like us. No one stops to think what that really means, “Just like US.” We are forbidden to breed animals for profit. Wonder how many Muslims know/ practicing that.(Hope someone remembers this when they are on their way to the most horrific of scenes, Sheep sacrifice…ugh)

An animal rights law was passed a few years ago in Kuwait.
For what it’s worth, praying that the law takes effect immediately towards this monster.

Oh Goodness. I just ran a quick check on this guys insta. First off, his created insta name rhymes with Vodka, which is shocking to say the least. I had a friend who was held up & interrogated at Kuwait International Airport for wearing a Heinken Shirt, but he is sponsored by big named Kuwaiti establishments with that name, and no one has an issue with that…cool

He posted a selfie while he was doing pilgrimage at Mecca. No comment.

Saw another post with a cheetah laying in what looked like a diwaniya. Of course, because a wild cheetah yearns to be domesticated.

And the post that made me just decide to add another comment: Him sitting in a wheelchair holding a basketball, assuming he was promoting Disabled sports. Am I the only one finding this distasteful?

Seems he bought a new Chowchow and is bragging about it and how he is going to just use the same collar and leash. He doesn’t seem remorseful at all and in fact is throwing it in our faces.

The best action one can take against this guy is to stop patronizing establishments that continue to support his behavior. Consider it.

A boycott would actually send a powerful message. Even an attempt at one.

Once money comes into the matter everyone is scared.

I’m finding it strange that there’s so much outrage. People who’ve been here in Kuwait long enough know that there’s a huge population raised here to be ok with this.

I’ve seen kids throwing bird seeds to feed pigeons and then they slowly grab the birds and break their necks – it was a game for the kids to see who killed the most birds – a british lady saw this and screamt at them and all they did was yell something out in Arabic and run.

I’ve been to the zoo where grown men spend time standing outside the cage and throw stuff at animals to taunt them – especially monkey and the security was just around watching helplessly

and much more.. the point is my adrenalin gets pumping but there’s nothing you can do. Chances are you’ll get beat up or shot since many of them are on drugs half the time I’m told. I reported both the incidents to security standing nearby (the first was near to major shopping centre) and they just shrugged and said “What can we do, they’ll come back with a larger gang and stone us” That’s Kuwait for you.

I am told Kuwait does have animal cruelty laws on the books. But will they be enforced……. Inshallah

As James mentions that people who have been in Kuwait for long should be desensitized to such cruel acts by now. Easier said than done. I’ve been born n brought up in Kuwait. I’ve seen a dog being locked up in cars not just for few hours buy for 1 whole week. it was laying in its own shit n pee. It was A GSD. I called up the animal shelter they said that its a private property they cant do anything. thankfully it was winter.
Finally I left a note and waited the next day until the owner came. he mentions its coz his father doesn’t like dogs in the house. cannot understand why he got the got even. he then mentions it he will take it to his friends farm.
Just this week a few kittens I was feeding under our building. found one of them beheaded. clean cut. just devastating. I cannot fathom who or why they would do such a thing. the mother cat kept crying out and licking the headless neck. just broke my heart. I’m getting nightmares abt it.
Unfortunately nothing can be done. people are savages. save and the ones you can. and hope the rest die without suffering until these people get educated or grow to have compassion to other humans and animals.
