Parallels or Bootcamp?

With the new Intel Macs you can run Windows XP. To do so you have two options, the first is using Apple’s free beta software called Bootcamp or you can pay $49 and use Parallels. Which should you choose and which is faster? Cnet took both softwares and ran a bunch of tests and it turns out Bootcamp is the way to go. [Link]

oh man i might finally have to get me a mac and fuck around with it.

i would still have my good old windowz to snap me back if i suddenly start hanging out in starfucks with my laptop doing loads of photo editing artfag shit.

I use paralles for those quick jobs that require windows while I am working with my OS X. Imagin quiting every single app. and restarting into Win XP just to do a 10 min’ job. you can’t compaire both of the together ..

well according to the cnet review it probably is quicker to just reboot into bootcamp then to try doing anything in paralles.

can someone install both in the same time? that way u can have paralles when u want to do something quick and bootcamp when u want to do something serious.

Marzouq… sorry my friend. That war is over, and the battle is won – by INTEL. The Macbook isn’t an “apple machine” now… it’s the same as any other intel-based WINDOWS laptop… it just looks way better. The Apple has become an Orange (but not a Lemon)

I have both of them installed on my iMac back in dublin. Unfotunatly I don’t own an original copy of XP so after the 30 days time limit it stopped working :/

Anyhow, I use boot camp for gamming and parallels for any other thing I might need to use windows for. Which is very rare ..
