It doesn’t look as bad as I thought it would! I’m just curious of the specs now!

I think they were filming the Ad in Oman!

I just hope the rear doesn’t look too bad!

The GX-R\GX\G
Will be 4800CC, V6, 283HP.. pretty much like the nissan patrol

and the VX-R will be 5000CC, V8, 300 and something HP, i dont remember

Typical male thinking, all they care about is the rear..

WHAT ABOUT THE CAR’S PERSONALITY?! INTELLIGENCE?!

i’m very disappointed with the land cruiser i’ve been hoping that they come up with a cool exterior design so i can be an owner, now im a hater 😛

not bad while the power will be more than before.
i have a 99 v8 land cruiser but like a cow comparing with other 4×4.

It seems that they are trying to impress the USA market again with another ugly design. In Australia we need reliability not a car that bloats as far as weight goes and techno gadgets don’t do much when they break down 1500km from the nearest help.

Current model with front beam axle drove like a truck but was indesrtuctable, but with independent suspension it broke parts when it shouldn’t have.

I’ll wait a while before I pass judgment and photos don’t show the real story.

Also ugly cars often turn out more beautiful with age. The first Prado was like that.

Really sad. I thought Toyota would do better than this. It looks very out dated and looks like a grocery getter. Toyota uses the rich heritage of Land Cruiser as a marketing tool, but this vehicle is anything but that.

I have driven Landcruisers all over the world and for about 30 years; really.

This Landcruiser is indeed a BLAND Cruiser. I have waited
10 years for an improved design, and Toyota dropped the ball,
I mean really.

It looks like a bloated Highlander, or a fat Cayenne,
or a clutsy Mitsubishi, but not like a Landcruiser should look.

I am amazed at the total lack of imagination in the design.
The interior is almost a carbon copy of todays version, but way too much silver plastic (that will scratch).

They also made the same mistake that Lexus made a few years ago with their IS line;
namely, the instrument cluster is a clusterf–k from an ERGONOMICS viewpoint.

They put these TUNNELS over the tach and speedo units
which requires the driver to tilt his head to the left or right
depending on which dial they want to look at.

Lexus took these off their IS line after a few years
because it was a flawed idea;
and Toyota did not pay attention.

And that is exactly the point; a driver should not have to make
complicated efforts to look at the instruments;
ie: they should never be forced to FOCUS on the instruments;
that is what causes accidents.

Very very bad design; again. FIX THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
GET RID OF THE TUNNELS.
