The Ministry of Interior website has finally been revamped and although it still needs some work, at least it no longer looks like it was done by an intern using Microsoft Frontpage. The biggest change other than the visual appearance is the ability to check your traffic fines right from the front page (scroll down). That’s probably the most used feature on the website and so makes sense to have it on the main page.
I actually hadn’t checked mine in ages and just did and found 5 violations! I used to get an SMS telling me I had violations but I guess the SMS feature isn’t working. Sucks.
Anyway if you want to check out the new look click here.
Thanks Santo

Wish they had got a good proof reader before going live (Reed instead of Read)…Spell check wont help such cases.
Be thankful that they have it in English, most countries don’t bother putting their government websites in any language other than their own which isn’t really a bad idea tbh.
Safty at sea. Spell check would have helped.
I think it would be cool to create a digital driver’s license in Kuwait like some states in the US are doing. It also makes it easier to renew it if you can just pay online and a new license will be updated automatically on an MOI app without the need to pick up a physical card.

What’s this points system in the traffic violations?
What does 1/14 mean?
🤭
I think we can safely assume its 1/14 points on your license. Once you get 14/14 you get your license suspended. At least that’s how it’s supposed to work.
Not sure what the suspension time period (for the first suspension) is ‘officially’.
The points reset annually I think, I had accumulated about 12 before but now its back at 0, phew…
Is there any way to check on a civil ID with a passport number? I’ve had residency for a few weeks but no sign of my civil ID yet….
“Revamp” in 2019 from what would be a website would properly look like in 2000-2001. Brilliant
