One Lap Around the Kuwait Motor Town Race Track

One of my readers was able to get access to the Kuwait Motor Town race track and shot a video of a lap around it. The track will sadly not be ready to use this season since it still needs a final layer of tarmac. You can actually notice the high curbs in the video, that’s because of the 4cm top layer that’s missing. The inauguration of the track is still scheduled for March 28. [YouTube]

If you can get me access to the track let me know!

Thanks Mohammed!

Looks very cool, hopefully it won’t get to restricted or as most things seem to be “for show only” and can be enjoyed by true petrol heads with organised track days.
It’s unfortunate to say that it will have all the facilities but will be let down by the lack of organisation.

Why do you think it will be let down by the lack of organization? You can’t have an F1 track and poor organization. From what I was told there will be a third party managing the track.

I’m hoping to be proved wrong because i personally feel Kuwait needs to up it’s game on many levels, but building an F1 track and having it approved/added to the calendar are two different things, as i said i hope i’m proved wrong as it would be amazing to have world events brought here.

Sometimes its the simple things that let things down, i.e. the new museum, amazing place, went on the third day after opening, the entrance system is ridiculous, causing traffic around the block, some of the displays improperly labelled or not working.

You were let down by the museum because:

– The entrance system is ridiculous and there was a lot of traffic
– Some of the displays were improperly labled or not working

Seriously?

Yes the entrance system isn’t well thought out but you also went on the third day of the opening so no matter how it was designed there would still be traffic from the rush of people wanting to see the museum.

You went on the third day of the opening so obviously, there will be things not perfect like labels and some of the displays not working. There will be kinks in the begining like everything new.

So what the fuck, the museum was a let down because of two issues you had both of which are not even real issues? God you’re such a hater and downer.

Please don’t miss quote me I said “causing traffic”, also I didn’t say it was a let down I said “amazing place”
I was merely giving an example of how little things can spoil the experience or place.

As for being a “Hater and Downer” not in the slightest, it is you that has taken what was a subjective conversation/comment and flipped it.
All of the comments I have made above are filled with hope for a brighter Kuwait.

U need to send me your number, wanted to msg u the other day when I saw u to tell u I was heading to arabica but realized I didn’t have your number

Over three months ago you said that “the paving of the track asphalt is basically done” and now the track is missing a 4cm top layer?!

Why is it that nothing in Kuwait works / turns out right?
