A friend sent me two videos from a chase that supposedly took place this weekend. Seems like the crowd was rooting for the getaway driver. If you have any more videos of this chase let me know.

Mark, FYI… each video is of a different runaway vehicle and, hence, probably different driver too… In the first, police are chasing a corvette while in the second they are chasing a crown victoria…
Yeah but since both videos came about at the same time I assumed they were related. Like maybe both were racing and cops started chasing them
The second video is of a Ford Crown Victoria. Ain’t nobody gonna race in a Crown Vic lol. I’m not sure what instigated that chase but that dude was on drugs as I’ve read and has been arrested.
As for the vette that’s a different story and yeah that guy along with many others were racing on Malik Fahad in the early morning hours.
malik fahad, really?
i always imagined these types of people would go to less ‘known’ places or at least not a widely used highway lol
They’re always on drugs and they’re always mentally ill.
You’ve got it backwards, they’re not high on substances, they street race to get high on the experience.
From personal experience i found that its a rare few who both street race and abuse any form of drugs, be it alcohol or any other mind altering substances. There are very specific but simple to understand reasons for it too. Most street racers spend upwards of 50% of their salaries on their cars, between installments, maintenance, and performance upgrades, they can spend anywhere from 500-1000KD per month on their cars. After all, this is their hobby and passion and its very expensive. After all bills are paid there simply isn’t any money left over for expensive drugs and alcohol, a bottle of which would go for 90KD and will only give a few hours of buzz but for the same price a set of tires can give weeks’ worth of grip and excitement. But lets take it to a whole other level for you to understand.
The car is the hobby, they invest time and money into making that car the way they want it and as fast as they can get it to go. These people will skip meals to maintain this expensive hobby/habit, to add to that, nobody wants to spend that much money on something and then wreck it in a horrible and possibly fatal accident while driving under the influence.
They like racing fast cars, they enjoy getting high off the rush, and it probably feels even better when they run away from the cops then when there’s nobody around. These people don’t do or need drugs, these people are alive and hooked on adrenaline, it’s a lot more potent but it’s completely natural and impossible to regulate or control.
It’s easy to demonize street racers for what they do but what they do is simply the most logical solution to their problem. Since they don’t have race-tracks, they race on the streets because where else are they supposed to go.
And if you’re wondering why somewhere so close to the city and in such highly populated streets like King Fahad Road (40) and Second Ring Road? It’s a safe street which has the most potential for successful escape because of the numerous exits on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Ring Roads, and the residential areas that line the road from Kuwait City down to South Surra… plus the police aren’t going to create too much mayhem in these upper-to-middle-class residential areas.

Yeah! they can cool off their adrenaline rush behind bars and come out sober in 10-20 years. I don’t want my kids endangered because other kid was high on adrenaline.
so your defending people that don’t mind breaking the law and don’t mind putting themselves aswell as others in danger. do you realise how many innocent lives are lost to these idiots? a few weeks ago a newly wedded couple were killed when a racer smashed into them while his “friend” in the other car didn’t have the balls to see what he caused and ran off. if people are willing to travel to drink alcohol legally then they shouldn’t complain when there race tracks all over the gcc where they can have fun. And people that are willing to spend all their wage on a hobby clearly don’t know what they are doing, get into bank loans they can’t payoff then complain “well the government doesnt pay us enough”. For ur last paragraph u said a highly populated street is a safe street. how does that even make sense? its like me saying well ill put a bomb in the middle of an extremely crowded room with lots of exits and stand at the very edge, that way the people around the bomb take the full impact of the explosion while i can easily escape. don’t get me wrong i LOVE motor races I’ve been to endless races, drifting, motorshows and grand prix include my fav the lemans but i can’t stand when people are willing to risk other people’s lives for a “hobby”.
he said bomb.
“It’s easy to demonize street racers…. Since they don’t have race-tracks, they race on the streets because where else are they supposed to go.”
Are you f##king high yourself? These guys are only as good as their machines and they put the lives of everyone in danger around. There was a traffic jam once on the 6th ring after the 40. Two rows of cars ahead of me, there were three guys hijacking the 6th, holding off cars for them to have the gap to “take off” – Saturday 2pm in the afternoon!
I had the “opportunity” to almost get killed by one of these blind goats and rear-ended me. I pull her over and she goes “how dare you scream at me in my country” – I told her to shut up and just called the cops on her. ok so she got away with a fine and whatever but its just scary to see these nitwits do this.
wait was the woman a racer?
Yup – a murderous one!
Please shut up. If all of them put a fraction of that effort into building a track we would have one a long time ago.
This adrenaline is definitely controllable… Behind bars, or when the countless of these idiots die.
It’s crazy not to demonize those who put others in danger for their own pleasure
I love cars been going to races all over the world and participated in a couple of AM level races, I know the excitement of driving fast and pushing the limits of man and machine. But I would never do anything that puts innocent people at risk on public roads. It’s not a racetrack.
And btw 99% of them smoke, it’s a drug fyi
Illegal street racers should be put behind bars. Simple as that.
*rooting
there are some more videos on instagram. cops chasing kids off the bridge, and another one of a race on the highway.
Generation of mis-guided youth, which grew up playing Grand Theft Auto or something. If, the initial scare doesn’t work, they should be be behind the bars or as the so, called games progresses … shot/slained/wasted for endangering public life. Harsh but actions have consequences.
Violence in video games does not lead to violence in real life. Not sure when some people will realize that.
Actually it does… But not with all children
+1 and exactly what I meant “If, the initial scare doesn’t work …” for endangering public.
Both were caught yesterday
We need a ron burgundy voice over for these videos.
Love it. In saudia we do it all the time. Police chase….
:clap::clap: Keep it there, don’t bring it here. Take our Morons too if u want.
+1
Hate to be the spelling nazi: rooting*.
I believe you mean rooting, there was a piece in the news (or tafteesh on instagram) with a driver of a similar vehicle who was pulled over for questioning stating it was not him.
yes i did
Paul Walker was a good racer/drifter. I wish he was here to tell this guys the end results of drifting. Its all exciting till the last burns.
