For a title saying “This is How Bad Driving has become in Kuwait” i have to say that this video sold me short. I was waiting for him to go out and get his car crashed while killing a pedestrian or something along those lines.

heeeeh that’s normal for us down here in the south ( mantaka 10 ). at least he waited until its green , you should come to Jabber Ali , Subaheya .. etc. . they just drive through. also around 6 or 7 pm if there is a wedding , they just close the intersection.

With all due respect to everyone and to all nationalities.. but I don’t see many expats doing this kind of thing.

What’s strange is that whenever someone is talking on TV about traffic and road problems, expats are the ones accused of causing all accidents and deaths!!

@ Mark: I gotta agree about women driving, most of them get their driving licenses without taking any lessons or even going to the “Moroor” test – It’s called the “W” factor and it’s sad!

FYI: This is a (general) rant on constructive discussion that’s missing from the current, Kuwaiti conditioned norm.

Generalizing isn’t this immoral no-no. If a majority of women do a certain action – like, I don’t know, run red lights – then majority of women run red lights. You can then make a general statement that generalizes. Yes.

That’s not to say I agree that women are the problem. I’m just saying, question evidence instead of playing the discrimination (generalization) card.

People need to stop regurgitating what they hear without processing and forming their own opinions.

Try to zoom in and get the license plate number, and take it to the police station. Posting it on the internet isn’t going to help.

The idea of recodring a video of this kind and submitting it to the officials to get violators pay for their violations is kind of cool! I hope the traffic police allow that, and their slogan can be “watch out, someone could be recording you”

I know I will be more careful!

what i know that in South Korea ,if you catch some one on video or snap his picture doing anything illegal ( even littering the street ) yo get rewarded for that , some people make a very good living just from that .

This has become very common. Every day I drive through Demascus street and second ring road. From begining to end I see this sight at each traffic light.

I did see someone trying to race his lexus with an altima through showbiz traffic light intersection.. He was so fast tht he couldnt stop and hit a nissan pathfinder.. I didnt care much about the guys in lexus as they were tryin to run a red light but there was a family in the pathfinder with kids.. After seeing this, everyone who got down from their cars went straight to the family in pathfinder rather than checkin up on the guys in lexus.. The impact was so hard tht the lexus got most of its front squished in ๐Ÿ™

Have you ever noticed the ford crown victoria is the calling card of danger, I have never seen one being driven in a straight line at a consistant speed.

When will people respect the law in Kuwait? Kuwaities are always in a rush driving 140KM/H atleast and “expats” driving as slow as they can while shifting off lanes without considering other cars. Not to forget the J walking all over Kuwait. Try driving in Kuwait City without someone jumping in your face trying to cross the street. One of my friends crossed the street on an empty road in LA and he was given a $200 ticket!
