Blog Update: New Middle Column

column

As part of the blogs expansion I’ve added a bunch of new sections to the blog and because I know it can be annoying to keep clicking every section to see if there is anything new, I decided to solve that issue by updating the middle column. After playing around with it for awhile now I’m finally comfortable with the way it looks and the function it provides.

If you take a look to the right side of this post you’ll find “More from 248AM”. These are posts that aren’t on the main blog page but instead posts that have been published in one of the other sections. So if you’re looking for more content to read, keep your eye out for articles that pop up over there.

hah.. I was going to send you an email wondering why is there a huge white space ..

AdBlock disabled on 248am from now :p

Just a suggestion, don’t know if it’s possible. Try playing around with having a horizontal slide of the “more of 248am” just under the different sections tabs. So you cycle through all the links while using less space. It might look a little tidier imo.

All computer screens have widths wider than the height so having the slide horizontal uses more precious screen real estate and allows you to see less per screen scroll. On the other hand I was able to fit the slides in the middle column without affecting the rest of the page.

Hi, just some feedback. It is a bit tooooo much! Like, the ads are flickering at the end, then there is this middle column and then there is the “normal” left aligned column where I read my area of interest! I think for people with concentration issues (like me 😛 ) would find it hard to read an article without their attention being diverted for eg. right now, the rental company ad(far right)is annoying the bejesus outta me!
I think it’s great and important that people should be aware of other sections on the blog however, maybe the ads could move somewhere else or stop flashing! 🙂
