I finally got around to fixing and updating the Kuwait Blogs app and it’s available to download right now in the store. Other than the fix to the thumbnails not loading I’ve also updated the blog list and now includes the following blogs:

But all is not well. When I updated the app on my phone awhile ago it was freezing on launch. It was working perfectly fine when I tested before uploading to the store. It seems it’s working on some phones perfectly fine while others are facing issues similar to mine. Bare with me I’m not an expert in this. For now you can download it the way it is until I see if I can find a fix for it over the weekend. [US App Store Link]
If you could you please tell me in the comments if the app is working or not working with you that would be great. If you can include which iPhone you have and what version it is that would be even better. Maybe I could narrow the problem down that way.
Note: The included blogs might not all be the most popular but they are blogs I think are interesting and I’ve also tried to include a bit of variety in style and content.

Does it still have ads? I refuse to use apps with ads. I’d rather get the paid ad-free version
No ads right now but paid version ad free sounds interesting

Have you coded this with Objective-C or used PhoneGap ? I maybe able to solve your app freezing problem.
I love the app…. Living in the states it’s nice to just have a one stop shop… However u removed one blog I love to read and look at me blogging .. But still I love it!!

I wasn’t aiming for quantity. It’s a small collection of what I think are the most interesting blogs in Kuwait. Even if I could add more I would still want it to be just tops 20 blogs.
Yeah I understand I’m just suggesting this app since it has like 140 or 150 blogs and people might find other blogs they like reading.

EVERYTHING works flawlessly but why did you remove “Banana Q8” ?!? I think it’s the best & most popular blog in Kuwait, after yours that is 😉
And I’m using an iPhone 4S running iOS 5.0.1 & it’s Jailbroken, of course 🙂
I have a limited amount of blogs I can fit in the app and it was tough to make cuts but in the end I had to so that I could include a variety of styles.
Is there a way to downgrade? 😛

This app is working perfectly fine on my iPod 4g, iPhone 4s, iPad 2 32 GB wifi+3g and new iPad 16 gb wifi + 3g. all are updated to latest version of ios and all are not jail broken ! Mark i have created an same app like you except that i cant figure out how to add images on the left like you do ! please can you give me some tips… Thanks ;D

I doubt that will happen anytime soon. Unless Mark hires someone to develop it. Or is he familiar with how to develop android apps?

Update: Started it morning and it starts right up with no issues. Have you thought about doing an iPad version?

When i updated the app i faced freezing problem , after closing and opening the app many items it is working normally now
what iphone and os version?

Hey Mark, the first time I launched it, it froze. The second time it just crashed. But the third time it worked like a charm, with access to all the blogs and videos. However on the fourth attempt, it froze up on me again. The fifth time it crashed and the Sixth time it worked like a charm…..there is a pattern here if you notice. Cheers!

i tried to start the app after updating, it’s either crushing or freezing “for 8-10 times at a row”
How to go back to the previous version ? The current one is just freezing all the time

delete current app and re-install fixes the problem
